"This is gonna be great for my profile!" Two Heroes Unite! Sunny gave a slight nod, although it lacked her trademark confidence, when Paladin mentioned simply talking to the children as being interested in the same things that they were. She made it sound easy, but Sunny's interests had always been buying things or owning things, usually very nice things, and she was worried that they wouldn't really relate. Her PR team was always telling her not to talk about those things too much to avoid sounding too spoiled, but it was all she really knew. She paused, looking thoughtful for a moment. "Well, when I was their age, my dream was to have, like, my own perfume line, and now, I nearly do! I'm looking in to having one coming out next year! Do you think they'd like to talk about that?" She asked. Again, there was no malice in her words, she wasn't trying to sound shallow or vain or dismissive. This was just genuinely what Sunny thought. She was undoubtedly spoiled and self centred, but in such an oblivious way that it suggested Sunny had a kind heart underneath all the perfume and make-up. "Or kids like toys, right? Like, I love plushies. Mom always says I must have the biggest plushie collection in all of California!" Sunny beamed proudly. Then she paused. "Or is that, like, something else I shouldn't mention to the poor kids?" She said after a moment's thought. She sighed. This WAS hard. She was glad when Paladin said they'd mostly just be asking questions. She realised it probably surprised Paladin a bit that Sunny seemed so bad with a crowd, since she loved her fame and often held photoshoots, red carpet events and parties to meet people. She thought maybe she should explain. "I know you must think I'm kinda dumb, like, not knowing how to talk to... people, like that, y'know? I mean, like, I do loads of PR stuff. I love it. But like, it's always planned. Interviews and things. Or I just sign stuff and move on. I've never met a group like this before." She explained, before pausing to turn back to the mirror, to check her appearance again. "What about you?" She asked. "You sound like you're really good with kids!" She pointed out. "Like, ew, I hate offices..." The Office Princess Sunny laughed a little nervously when he commented on her checking for likes. Which of course she did. She had to make sure nobody was competing with her. But she giggled, and looked up at him, with her big brown eyes, trying to give him her best seductive smile. "It's not just to see the amount of likes. Sometimes it's just because I find someone..." Sadly, she lost her nerve, and her attempt at seduction turned in to a nervous little squeak when she finished with; "....cute." For a famous celebrity and model, most people would assume Sunny was good at flirting and talking to boys, but the opposite was true. Boys weren't, by their standard nature anyway, girly. And Sunny had no idea how to talk to people who weren't girly, and usually lost her nerve almost immediately. "Oh thanks." She blushed when he commented on her social media savvy, although Sunny's heavy make-up mostly hid the fact. "I mean, I like, mostly just learned from my Mom. She's a marketing genius." Sunny smiled sheepishly, obviously bashful around the handsome man, which was unusual since it stopped her usual egotistical boasting. "Oh, I've got the top shelf down." She winked, floating up in the air to his height for a moment, and then back down again. "But you've got muscles, and I've got..." She flexed her skinny arm, so smooth and toneless she almost looked like a skinny doll. "....So, um, maybe you can help me if I ever have to lift anything heavy?" She smiled, trying to flirt again, but doing it so badly most people could only roll their eyes. He asked if she was in trouble, and she looked a little sheepish again. "Kiiiiinda." She admitted, looking a little ashamed. "I mean, usually when they pull me in, it's just to tell me off for wearing too much perfume, as if that's even a THING that's possible..." Her current scent would attest that yes, she definitely wore too much. "But this time, it's 'cause I stopped this bank robbery, but APPARENTLY I didn't do it right, 'cause like, I thought it'd be better to stop the car after it left, as it'd look cooler in the photo and on the news, but they told me off and said I shoulda like, just stopped them first." She said a little sadly. "I just wanted a good picture for Insta." She admitted, as if this justified everything. Stephen Steelman "Hellooooooooo handsome!" ulla

"No, no, no, stop!" Red Carpet Times! Sunny's eyes went wide when the girl killed her first fan, slicing her throat. The teenage girl in her took over, trumping the superhero, and she screamed in terror. Somebody went to run, and she killed another, before holding a third hostage. Sunny looked on helplessly, bursting in to tears, and screaming again. "Nononono! Like, please, omigod! Please! Don't hurt them!" She begged. She'd never been put in a situation like this before. Usually she could deal with any problem. But innocent people being threatened? What was she meant to do? She tried to think. The Hero Program probably covered this, but she'd never been a very good student, vain and self centered, and she hadn't listened most of the time. She had no idea. Her powers let her move quickly, by shifting her gravity field she could basically launch herself forward at terminal velocity, but that was useless for a very good reason. It would cover the ground between them before the killer could react, yes, but it'd also cover the ground between them before Sunny could react. She might be able to move that fast in flight, but she couldn't react that fast. They'd just collide and she'd end up hurting more people than she saved. She realised she had no choice, and so she lowered her gravity field. Not that anybody could tell, her gravity field was flush to her skin, so it'd block anything that came at her, but this girl was smart. She knew she'd know if it was still up. Sunny was not, on the other hand, smart. And as such, she had to assume everybody was going to outsmart her. At least when people's lives were on the line. Those big, weepy eyes of her's, now framed by mascara goop tears, focused on the blood drawn on the neck of the girl's victim. "Okay, okay, I'll do what you say! Just, like, promise not to hurt anybody else." Sunny knew she had to obey for now. She was hoping she could lure the girl close, away from the victims, reactivate her powers, and attack. For now though, she had no choice but to obey. And suddenly, people reluctantly started throwing items at her. Sunny dealt with it with all the grace of a girly ditzy coddled supermodel, and shrieked, flailing uselessly with her arms, yelping as more and more items hit her, causing her the type of pain she hadn't really experienced before. She hunched over, turning away, squealing like a pathetic spoiled child. "AHHH! STOP! STOP! PLEASE! STOP!" She wept pathetically. And it truly was pathetic. Every part a spoiled blonde princess, and not a single part a superhero. Evelyn was already well on her way to humiliating Gravity Girl, who was showing her true colours as a spoiled ditz. Perhaps the only thing heroic about her was that she hadn't put her field back up, obeying her demands for the moment. She was, at least, putting her fans before herself... "This is gonna be great for my profile!" Two Heroes Unite! Sunny looked a little surprised when Paladin turned down her offer of perfume. Seriously, that girl was so weird. How could you turn down something this great? But Sunny decided it didn't matter, gave a little shrug and a smile, and sprayed a little more on herself which she definitely didn't need. She trotted back over to her improvised dressing table, checking herself again in the mirror, apparently the thirty seconds she'd taken her eyes off of herself warranting another make-up check. She was aware that Paladin seemed a little impatient, but Sunny was quite happy in the dressing room. She could spend all evening fussing over her appearance, and would probably prefer that to seeing the aforementioned scruffy kids. It wasn't that she wasn't sympathetic. Just that she found them hard to relate to... "Oh, yeah, it's super cool." She smiled back sunnily, her usual upbeat optimistic self. "I mean, I know we help people all the time, but when you stop crimes or disasters and stuff, like, well, the cameras always arrive afterwards, and like, people are all stressed 'cause they just got robbed or whatever, but here, everybody is gonna, like, know we're there for them! It's like, totes cool!" She smiled happily. "Plus I know the press will get my good side in all the photos. Like, sometimes, if I'm stopping a crime, they'll like, take photos afterwards without even, like, letting me style my hair first! I mean, hello! I just flew down and stopped a crime. Let me sort out my hair, am I right?" She giggled playfully. She was trying to be a bit goofy, even if it WAS true Sunny hated any picture of her where she didn't look absolutely flawless, and it was one of the reasons she tended to arrive late to things while flying. After landing she'd need to restyle her hair before leaping in to action! But then something odd happened, and Sunny paused, and looked a little uneasy. An expression that didn't sit naturally on her spoiled, always beaming, naive and coddled face. "Actually, um, like, I'm a bit nervous." She mentioned, before moving closer to Paladin, as if she had to say this in a whisper. Unfortunately, this meant that Paladin got a nose full of her overwhelming perfume up close, but Sunny didn't think about this (or perceive it as a flaw). "These kids..." She whispered so nobody would hear, not that she had to, since the dressing room was empty bar those two. "They're so.... poor. I like, I dunno how to talk to POOR people! The only things I, like, know how to talk about are, like, fashion, make-up, and...like, stuff... What am I meant to like, say to people who are too poor to afford any of that stuff?" Sunny sounded incredibly spoiled, yes, but her concern didn't come with disdain. There was nothing to suggest Sunny was judging these people for their lack of wealth. Just, in her naive little world, Sunny was aware she existed in a coddled, rich girl bubble, and she was worried how to relate to the poorer kids. She didn't know what to say because on no level could Sunny relate to them. "C-can you, like, do the talking, and I'll just pose for pictures?" She asked hopefully, because she had no idea what else to do. Alice Morrow "We should be, like, BFFs!" ulla

"Wait, are you serious?" Red Carpet Times! Sunny was a little surprised by the girl's lack of reaction to her approaching. Usually, people squealed or screamed or even went incredibly shy. Sure, there were the people who didn't usually care who she was (usually teenage boyfriends or brothers dragged along) and she was used to that too, but there was usually still a bashful, 'I'm talking to somebody famous!'ness about them. But this girl looked at her like nothing registered at all. A blank look the likes of which Sunny couldn't remember ever seeing before. It was even, possibly, a little bit creepy, if Sunny was capable of being scared by such things, but a simple look couldn't penetrate her perfect, pink, perfumed little bubble in which she lived. She noticed all the scars, and managed to avoid wrinkling her nose. Hadn't this girl ever heard of make-up? She could cover up scars that way! This just reinforced Sunny's opinion that she was probably a special case, and so her decision to approach her could only play well for the cameras. Her comment was strange though, and Sunny blinked, tilting her head slightly. Maybe somebody more experienced and more worldly (or, to put it less politely, less of a ditz) would of realised something was wrong right away, but it took Sunny a few moments, just until the knife was coming towards her. The attack was very, very fast, but Sunny saw it an instant before it sank in to her stomach, and her powers activated. While the assailant had speed on their side, Sunny's powers worked with the speed of thought, and so instantly all around her body just a millimetre off of her skin her gravity field intensified to several thousand times Earth's norm, repelling any object that touched it. Since her powers were based on gravitational fields too, it meant that she was rooted to the spot easily, so the knife's kinetic energy couldn't otherwise push her back, so it would only have the options of shattering or skittering away, possibly even doubling back on the assailants hands. While being attacked here might of surprised Sunny a little, she WAS a superhero and did deal with violent criminals a lot. And actually getting to stop one in front of her fans was a great opportunity. So contrary to what people would expect, now she knew she was safe with her gravity shield up, she just smiled a dainty, happy smile. "Really?" She asked, as if the entire idea of attacking her was absurd. "Well, at least you're gonna give my fans, like, totally an awesome show. Pity it's gonna be, like, so short." She commented in her usual Californian twang, sounding almost exactly like what the 80's would of called a 'valley girl'. She reached out with one of her skinny arms and went to give her assailant a dainty, girlish tap. Of course, it was a tap from a hand that had a localised gravity field making it feel like it weighed something like the weight of a skyscraper, which Sunny found more than enough to knock any dumb criminal down. She was barely even paying attention, certain that this was about to be instantly over... Evelyn Winters "Light up the stage, it's time for a showdown!" ulla

"I love this dress!" Yes, I can fly but arrived by plane New York didn't thrill Sunny entirely. It had a reputation as the greatest city on Earth, and while Sunny couldn't fault the amazing shops or broadway, overall she felt that there was a grimy grittiness to the city you didn't get back in Beverly Hills, where she'd been born. An eternal priss, Sunny always felt a little out of place in New York. If it hadn't been for her powers, she might even of been scared somebody was going to mug her and steal her purse or something. As it was though, she mostly just worried about smog seeping in to her clothing. Especially given the beautiful, elegant (pink, obviously) gown she was wearing, sparkling with silver sequins around the neckline, waist and hem. Her hair was worn up, elegantly, in a style a little different from her usual attire, and everything else about her was as flawlessly arranged as possible, to her sparkling diamond jewellery and flawless make-up. Yes, she was wearing her usual levels of perfume, which could bring tears to the eyes if you stood too close to her, but nobody was perfect, and especially nobody dared tell Sunny to wear less. They'd tried that before...
After the plane had landed, Sunny went through her usual ritual of checking her appearance, even though it was flawless, as they brought the staircase around. Not that she needed it, but it was part of the show, of course. Before she could start however, there was her new bodyguard. She hadn't bothered learning his name, of course, but he introduced himself regardless so it wasn't like she had to bother. She offered him a gracious smile. Sunny might of been self absorbed and spoiled, but she wasn't one of those celebrities who would be intentionally rude to her staff. She was usually bubbly and friendly, in a ditzy way, with everybody. "Hiya! Wow, like, sorry for such a borin' job. Bein' a bodyguard for, like, a superhero, that must totally suck." She giggled a little teasingly. She was just trying to make fun, of course, but having a bodyguard when she could literally make herself nigh on indestructible seemed pointless.
"Only a quarter of the city? I must be losing my touch." She teased, before stepping out in front of the crowd. As they cheered, she flew in to the air rather than descend the stairs, flying down to a gentle landing on the ground beyond the plane, greeting people as they approached and signing memorabilia.
She didn't really think about the bodyguard she had left behind...

"Like, ew, I hate offices..." The Office Princess Sunny smiled giddily back as he introduced himself back to her. As if she didn't already know and hadn't already Facebook stalked the hottest guy in the building. She might of blushed a little but such an action was hidden beneath her Sunny-levels of make-up. "Oh, I know." She smiled back bashfully, before realising this was totally an awkward thing to say. "Uh, I mean, like, you know, I keep up to date... with all my fellow heroes. Uh, as like, a professional, and like, um, stuff. Totally." She said, her ditzy accent and stumbling voice making it sound like she was anything but professional. Which was accurate. Sunny was good at being a supermodel and celebrity. She wasn't so good in anything even remotely resembling a professional environment. "I promise, I'm not intimidating. I'm just, like, an ordinary person. Just like you!" She said, which itself was an incredibly vain thing to do since at no point at Stephen implied she was anything but an ordinary person. "Except, y'know, like, a lot shorter." She joked with a giggle. "I swear, I am like, TOTALLY lucky I can fly, 'cause, like, otherwise I'd never reach anything on the top shelf. Not that you'd like, have that problem." She added with another ditzy giggle at her incredibly lame attempt at flirting. "So, uh, like, what are you in for?" She asked, giggling again to try and signal it was a joke, although now she realised she was just giggling endlessly like a stereotypical ditz. "Uh, you, like, didn't get in trouble did you?" "Ugh. I can't believe I don't get to wear a gown..." Red Carpet Times! A Red Carpet premier in New York had really excited Sunny when she'd heard about it. A chance to dress in her most glamorousgown, be pictured with the stars, feature in all the gossip magazines the next day, she could hardly wait. Her appearance was even highly publicised. But sadly, as it approached, she was told they specifically wanted Gravity Girl, not Sunny Slater. Which meant arriving in her Gravity Girl costume. Not that she didn't like her costume. In fact, she loved her costume. She was just a little disappointed she didn't get a chance to properly dress up with the other stars. Although Sunny rather vainly guessed this was why they had invited her, and not, say Paladin, because they needed a superhero to arrive who looked as good as the actresses (or, in Sunny's vain mind, even better!). The real reason was probably because they knew Sunny would lap up the chance, but that didn't cross her mind. And so, while various celebrities were pulling up on the red carpet in limos, Sunny descended from the sky just as requested, her hot pink outfit catching plenty of attention as her stiletto boots touched down, her bright smile on her glossy pink lips exploding as all the cameras went off and she waved to the crowd. She realised she probably should of researched what movie this was for, but she had no intention of watching it anyway. Despite being in her familiar outfit, Sunny had spent even more time than usual on her flawless make-up and hair, and the cloud of perfume that surrounded her was somehow even thicker than usual. She thought it was great. Some people might disagree... She approached the crowd, waving, and signing the odd Gravity Girl poster people had brought along. Her eyes caught a girl in black, looking sickly pale, not even wearing any make-up, with long black hair. Ew. What was she doing here? There should be a rule, Sunny thought. You shouldn't be allowed up to the rope if you didn't wear make-up. (Unless you were a boy, obviously). What if she got in some photos? She looked so different from the others she'd draw attention away from Sunny herself! But maybe she was some charity case? If that was the case, maybe the best thing to do was embrace it? Say hi, act like the gracious celebrity? That'd work, right? Sunny went up to the strange plain girl and offered her usual glossy, vacant celebrity smile. "Like, hiya!" She smiled with a little wave. "Would you like me to sign something?" She offered. Evelyn Winters "Ew, who let you in?" ulla

"This is gonna be great for my profile!" Two Heroes Unite! When Sunny had first heard about this plan, she had to admit she was sceptical. Opening a Community Outreach Centre was a little, well, beneath her she thought, but the press was always good. People always loved to see a celebrity slumming it, right? And while Sunny was always confident she was the most beautiful and glamorous person in the room, there was something about being around poor, scruffy kids that made her look even better in comparison. And she loved the way they looked at her. As if an angel had graced them with its presence. (And who could blame them?). But then she'd heard that Paladin would be there. It wasn't that Sunny didn't like Paladin. Sunny, truthfully, didn't really dislike anybody. In her own naive, optimistic world everybody was a friend. But she didn't really understand Paladin. She was famous. More famous, as a superhero, at least, than Sunny herself. But she didn't seem to care. Sunny had only met her a few times, but she hadn't once seen her check her make-up, and she didn't care about her hair, and Sunny wasn't going to say anything, but that costume of her's wasn't exactly pretty was it? How could she care so little about her appearance and still know how famous she was? Sunny had literal nightmares about being photographed without any make-up on. Paladin was just a mystery to her. And then there was the whole issue of Paladin's fame. Paladin was, Sunny hated to admit, a much bigger hero than she was. It meant that at appearances like this, where she should be the centre of attention, instead, all eyes were on Paladin. Even the press wanted photos of her before Sunny. Which she hated. But eventually her Mom had persuaded her that being seen with Paladin was only a good thing. If Paladin was always going to be the world's premeire teen superhero, then Sunny could do a lot worse than be the second one mentioned immediately after her every time. And so, Sunny had agreed, and now the two were sat in the back room that had been converted in to a dressing room before their appearance on Sunny's insistence. Technically, they were meant to split it in half, but Sunny had largely taken over, with every surface covered with make-up, perfume and hair products, and several full length mirrors being pulled in, in which Sunny was currently checking herself out in one, in her bright pink Gravity Girl outfit. "Right. I think I'm ready. How do I look?" Sunny asked, turning to Paladin. "I'm kidding." She giggled. "I know I look great." She laughed. Mom always said that such vanity didn't make people like her, but Sunny could never understand how people couldn't see how pretty she was. She picked up some perfume and sprayed it on, a sickly sweet scent she desperately didn't need, since a cloud of the stuff already seemed to surround her, heavily scenting the room. "Sorry, did you want some?" She asked, offering it to Paladin, since as far as she could tell, the girl wore very little perfume (or maybe even none!). An idea that was horrifying to Sunny... "Like, ew, I hate offices..." The Office Princess Sunny didn't make a habit of visiting the Hero Program's San Francisco office. Office work just didn't suit her, and she hated the idea of ever being one of those dull, drably dressed drones stuck behind a desk all their lives. Of course, it helped that she was rich and wealthy enough to never have to actually think about an actual nine to five job. However, she had to admit, she did like the reception she got when she was there. People couldn't take their eyes off of her. Whether it was because she was there usually in her Gravity Girl costume, and it was the striking pink, or her natural beauty ('natural' meaning 'under several layers of make-up') of course, or because she was, in her own words, 'like, totally famous', she loved the attention she got. She felt like a princess walking among her subjects, and she ate up every moment of it. Of course, the real truth was more likely something along the lines of 'who the heck is this ditzy blonde in that pink outfit that burns my eyes', but Sunny was totally unaware of that. Even those who were used to the self absorbed star moving around the building couldn't entirely ignore her. Sunny liked to think it was because she projected a celebrity aura, but the only aura that caused people to notice her were the waves of expensive perfume always pouring off her body. Sometimes it took them a week to get the scent out of the office... Anyway, so while Sunny usually enjoyed the reaction she got there, unaware of any negativity, today she had been left feeling a little upset. See, she hadn't returned just to check Facebook and Instagram do some office work like she usually did, she had been called back for an advisory meeting. It turned out that a recent bank robbery she had stopped they had some concerns about. Sunny had thought she dealt with it brilliantly, in fact, her stopping the get away car was one of her most liked pictures on Instagram (and she had a lot of likes on Instagram) and had been shared all across social media and news websites, but apparently their concern was that she had held back allowing the bank robbers to escape before flying down and landing in front of the getaway car. With her powers, she was utterly invulnerable and the car had crumpled around her, causing considerable injury and property damage. Luckily none of the robbers had died, but since she was essentially bulletproof, they said she could of easily stopped them BEFORE they got in to the car. Which Sunny admitted was true, but then the photograph wouldn't of been anywhere NEAR as good. The press couldn't get close enough to see that and her just stopping some guys in balaclavas would be nowhere near as good for a shot as her smashing a getaway car. (Technically, Sunny couldn't smash an egg, she was so physically weak, but by making her gravitational field so dense and holding her arms out so it looked like she was smashing it, she had gotten a fantastic shot anyway!). Cue the usual lecture, she was doing this for the wrong reasons, it wasn't just about the media, PR was good but not at the cost of the city, would she please put her lip gloss away and listen, yadda yadda yadda. Eventually Sunny had promised to try harder and not think about the media pictures so much and they'd let her go with a warning, but she wasn't very happy about it. She left the office of the supervisor, still clad in her Gravity Girl costume, her ridiculously high pink stiletto boots clicking and clacking as she walked. Naturally, Sunny wasn't looking where she was going, mainly because much to the disdain of all the office workers around her, she had decided to freshen up her perfume at this point, and was busy spraying it on as she walked when she bumped in to somebody... She took a step back, and being as light as she was and him being as large (not to mention those ridiculous heels), she might of fallen over, had she not subtly caught herself with her powers and floated back to her feet. Her bottle of perfume disappeared in to a convenient hidden pouch on her hot metallic pink utility belt and she let out a small giggle, pushing a strand of hair back. She wished she could pull out her compact and check her appearance, but even she knew bumping in to somebody handsome wasn't the time. "Wow, um, like, hiya." She smiled, having to crane her neck up a little to see him. He was SO much taller than her, even with her heels. She recognised him immediately. By far the cutest guy in the office, not least because he at least understood fashion. And had a body to die for. Perhaps this was where somebody might expect a spoiled, wealthy girly girl like Sunny to play the flirt, but the truth was, Sunny was terrible with boys. She just didn't understand them. They might as well of been an alien species to her. How was she meant to relate to people who had no interest in make-up, or heels, or hairstyles, or perfume or the colour pink? "I'm... uh... Sunny. Gravity Girl!" She said, holding out her cape and doing a little nervous curtsy. As if he didn't know who she was already, of course, but she thought she was being cute introducing herself... High heels are also an absolute must; Sunny doesn't own anything else. All of her outfits are highly fashionable and usually very expensive, but also incredibly girly in style. She can't remember the last time she wore pants. Her hair is always perfectly styled, and she's almost always wearing diamonds. Her make-up is always heavy and utterly flawless. Her nails are never without a manicure and always painted a shade of pink. Although not strictly visual, she also is utterly obsessed with perfume, and always wears it extremely heavily. Her favourite scent is a sweet scent by Prada, but she loves collecting perfumes and wearing different ones, almost always chokingly heavily.[break]
Her superhero attire as Gravity Girl sticks with her fashion preferences, a hot pink outfit with a short skirt, a tight top with a 'GG' logo on the chest in friendly, girly, bubbly letters, suede thigh high stiletto boots, and a short pink cape. She keeps her appearances to the same high standards, and has a metallic pink belt around the skirt with a hidden compartment at the back with emergency supplies. By which she means back-up cosmetics. [break][break]
GENERAL[break][break] Petite and skinny, with very youthful features that make her look younger than she actually is, Sunny is a very pretty young girl who's young looking face helps her market herself to teenage girls as a popular model. She has dark brown eyes but otherwise naturally blonde hair and pale skin. Her build is slight and largely devoid of muscle, suggesting a girl who keeps her figure through a strict diet but doesn't like to work out or indeed build any 'unsightly' muscle (reflected in her physical strength). Standing at 4"11, she is very small, and tries to make up for this with towering heels, but she always looks tiny, which adds to the impression of her apparent youth. She is always flawlessly styled and groomed, and would never dream of being seen without her make-up or fashionable clothes.

Calling her a 'girly girl' might seem easy, but it's the simplest description. Sunny is your stereotypical girly girl through and through, she loves Disney movies, adores anything related to her appearance, is highly fashionable, giggly and sweet, but unbelievably vain. Her largest personal flaw stems from this vanity, wherein she has been raised all her life to be in the spotlight and has been for the last few years a teenage supermodel, so cannot stand the idea of ever being seen with even the remotest flaw. She is constantly fussing with her make-up and hair and will literally allow this to get in the way of her superheroics, she is so paralysed by the fear of not looking perfect at all times. [break][break] Her favourite things in the world are cosmetics and clothes, and she is especially obsessed with perfume, which she'd class as her 'favourite thing ever'. Not that she'd need to tell you that. Anybody who stood close to her would know that by the sheer amount she wears. Perhaps stereo-typically, she hates dirt, bugs and spiders, all of which she is terrified of, and she reserves a special fear for snakes, which she hates more than anything else. She's a little boy crazy and develops crushes easily, but is actually hopeless at romance, largely because of her girly obsessions meaning she just can't understand... boys. At all. She is still very childish in many ways and definitely something of a ditz. She's a little self-absorbed and definitely very spoiled, and has very little understandings of the hardships of the world. She hates scary movies and doesn't really know much about pop culture outside of Disney and her modelling career. She adores being the centre of attention and is obsessed with images of herself. Her favourite pastime is to scroll through websites finding pics of her and saving them to her phone. Her phone image gallery is just thousands of selfies or images she's found of herself online she's saved...[break][break]
The only thing that rivals her perfume collection is her stuffed animal collection, which should tell you everything you need to know about Sunny...
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]HISTORY [attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Born to Melissa Slater, famed Hollywood PR agent, and a mysterious father Sunny never met, Sunny was raised in Hollywood by her mother, and a string of various male acquaintances her mother made over time. Melissa was one of the most successful agents in Hollywood, and incredibly wealthy, which led to a coddled, warm and safe existence for Sunny as she grew up. Melissa herself had found her fortune before coming to Hollywood in mysterious circumstances, but Sunny never thought to ask about that. [break][break] From the age of six, Sunny appeared in commercials, in magazines and on billboards, as Melissa made sure that her daughter became the next hot thing in Hollywood, at least on the modelling scene. Sunny grew up surrounded by glitz, glamour and wealth. She loved all of these things, and she especially loved being pampered and the centre of attention. She grew up watching Disney films all the time, which filled her with a sweet, naive outlook fuelled by her coddled life style, although she was so vain and self absorbed she never really understood people quite the way her idols in Disney really did...[break][break]
Once she was a teenager, her modelling career continued successfully, with Melissa ensuring that she modelled high end fashions at a variety of shows, in magazines, online, and everywhere else Sunny could get her face. Sunny was successful, for a teen model, but there was only so far that could take you. Her mother even managed to land Sunny a few minor acting roles, ideally for Sunny on the Disney channel, but it soon turned out that Sunny's looks and vanity may have been ideal for modelling, but she couldn't act to save her life, and that career went nowhere.[break][break]
After the Event, Sunny was one of the ones to develop powers. Although she was thrilled by the idea of being a superhero, her mother was quick to reign her in, before realising the potential of her newfound powerset. Able to fly, and manipulate her own gravitational field, Melissa realised that Sunny was incredibly marketable as a teenage icon, and signed her up immediately to the Hero Program when it was introduced.[break][break]
Although Sunny did pretty badly in Hero training; she wasn't cut out for exercise or physical confrontation, her powers were very useful, and soon she was approved. Her mother, of course, made sure that Sunny's image was everywhere. Gravity Girl: The Teenage Superhero! (Who cared there were plenty of others?). Posters were on sale, talk shows booked, action figures made, plushies produced, everywhere you went, Sunny Slater's face was on display (her identity was well known, but capitalised on). She quickly became a teen sensation, loved by teenage girls over the globe, and generally despised by everybody else, especially since her 'girly' look and vain obsessions were actually a pretty bad role model. However, she did do her work as a superhero too, usually under the watchful eye of her mother, only engaging in decently marketable superheroics. After all, Sunny didn't want pictures of her looking dirty or messy to end up in the morning papers, right?
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]POWER [attr="class","hopelovetop"][attr="class","hopelovesub"]
ABILITY[break][break] GRAVITATIONAL FIELD MANIPULATION: Sunny can manipulate her immediate gravitational field. This grants her several abilities. [break][break] FLIGHT: Sunny can make herself weightless, and then manipulate her own gravitational field to propel herself through the air. She's able to travel at speeds roughly equal to terminal velocity for Earth's atmosphere (approximately 122 miles an hour). Theoretically she could move faster, but the strain on her body would be too much. While she might be able to move faster without blacking out, Sunny isn't brave enough to try, but going much faster anyway would cause any human being to pass out.[break][break]
DENSITY FORCEFIELD: By increasing the density of her gravitational field to many thousand times that of Earth norm, essentially Sunny creates a 'forcefield' around herself, as anything touching it would bounce off in to Earth's lesser gravitation field. This is only immediately around her body, approximately a millilitre from her skin. This means that any solid projectiles would bounce away, such as bullets, allowing her to render herself practically bullet proof, as well as survive physical assault and essentially become an 'immovable object'. She can also use this to catch falling items, by flying under them and making herself so dense that an object cannot pass through her while flying. She cannot, however, generate any lift.[break][break] LIMITS[break][break] Sunny can only travel at 122 mph, approximately. [break][break] Although Sunny's impenetrability means that she can 'catch' falling objects, she would exist as one solid pressure point, meaning any object too large would likely just break in two around her, and she cannot generate lift.[break][break] Her powers require concentration, essentially similar to solving a simple sum in your head constantly. To use more than one gravitational power at once (ie: flight and density) is like trying to solve two sums at once, and as such can be difficult to keep up, especially under pressure.[break][break] Also her powers must be activated.They do not occur at all times.[break][break]
WEAKNESSES[break][break] Sunny's gravitational field will protect her from physical assault only. Any kind of energy attack, such as a laser, would not be affected by gravity and so penetrate it easily. Similarly, light, sound, mental attacks, or even fire, can cause her harm. Fire in particular, although it can be crushed, she is vulnerable to, not because of her powers, but because of the amount of cosmetics she wears... [break][break] Sunny's powers must be 'activated' mentally, and therefore she is vulnerable to surprise. A surprise attack would mean that instead of attacking a superpowered hero, you'd be attacking an underweight teenage supermodel who thinks a 'punch' is a nice type of drink.[break][break] Unable to generate lift. Sunny can fly herself, but if she has to move or lift something heavy, she cannot impact its gravitational field, meaning all she's got to move it with is her own muscle power. Which sadly is utterly pathetic. She's a skinny supermodel and thinks exercise is 'icky'. To call Sunny a weakling is offensive to weaklings. She's never met a screw lid she can open on her own.[break][break] She also has several vulnerabilities stemming from her general personality. She is useless at stealth, thanks to a combination of stinking of perfume, click clacking stiletto heels and always wearing bright pink. She's weak as a kitten and her vanity often interferes with anything she tries to do.
