Sunny, unfortunately, did not change quickly. Sunny had never changed quickly in her life. Even into her superhero suit in an emergency, she still took far longer than she should, and changing for a night out? Well, that could take hours. Luckily, it only took about an hour, which by Sunny's standards was incredibly fast, but it still meant Alice would be left waiting awkwardly for quite some time.

When Sunny emerged, she'd curled her hair and done her make-up, although in a style most hadn't seen her have. She had smokey eye shadow and red glossy lips to match her red dress, which was a little unusual for the pink obsessed girl. She'd gone for something like a Marilyn Monroe look, who Sunny did worship at least partially as one of the 'most classic girly girls of all time', in her own words (although if she said it, there'd probably be a 'like' and 'totally' in there). She smiled and did a little twirl, hovering into the air as she did so, the long dangling earrings she'd picked glinting as she did so.
"What do you think?" she asked proudly, before settling back down on the ground. She hadn't, unusually for Sunny, changed her excessive perfume from earlier to another scent, since she'd need to wash the existing scent off, but it was definitely refreshed and even stronger than before.

"Okay! Time to do your make-up! Oh EM GEE, I am so excited! Like, nobody EVER lets me do their make-up!" Sunny exclaimed, which was probably something to do with the excessive amounts she wore. The red lip gloss and smokey eye shadow even now were offset with so much foundation there was no trace of her real skin beneath it and towering false lashes, but that was pretty but Sunny's usual look. If she hadn't been so vain, Sunny would be able to have the perfect secret identity just by removing her make-up since nobody ever saw her without it...

Sunny, meanwhile, was having the time of her life. She loved a good shopping spree, and while it had only been three days since her last one (which was almost a record for her, by the way), she hadn't been shopping with a friend in forever. Most friends couldn't stand shopping with her, for obvious reasons, and even Alyson's eyes seemed to glaze over sometimes as they approached the seventh or eighth hour of a shopping trip. Having a deadline had obviously helped, because Sunny had been in a rush to get everything done, which meant she hadn't stayed at the mall past closing time, and then tried to purchase an extra hour of after closing shopping like she usually did.

The return to her mansion was fine, she didn't even have to emergency break once, although she did miss that time the traffic lights changed and somebody beeped at her because she was refreshing her lip gloss in the driver's mirror, but that wasn't HER fault. That other drive was just impatient.

When they got back into her room, Sunny flew around the spacious place in excitement, looping around to land back in front of Alice and giving her another perfume filled hug.
"Ohmigod, this has been so much fun!" she beamed. "And we've, like, not even gone out yet! she pointed out enthusiastically, although she didn't see how that could beat shopping. "Right! Time to get dressed up, then we gotta start on our make-up!" she squealed with joy at this thought. Sunny, who considered herself an artiste when it came to make-up, thought it was vitally important to be in your outfit before fully applying it, because that's when the best inspiration struck. Even if in Sunny's world 'inspiration' meant 'pink, highlighter, an inch worth of foundation and gigantic false lashes', as Alice was soon to find out...

Sunny excitedly floated into her walk-in wardrobe to change.
"I'll get changed in here, and then you can get changed out here, and then we can get started on the real fun stuff!" she enthused, meaning make-up, not the night out, of course. Sunny's priorities by now were pretty obvious. And of course there was hair to consider after that, but Alice's short hair would be difficult to do anything with. Sunny, on the other hand, felt like she had a whole world of options. It was just another reason she loved her hair long...

On top of the fact it was totally cute and girly, of course.

"Hooray!" Sunny squealed when Alice confirmed she loved the dress, grabbing her in a perfume drenched hug with her skinny arms. She paused as she listened to Alice's plan for accessorising and shoes. Sunny beamed at the thought of both. "I think I like, saw some great shoes to match in the shoe shop we were in earlier, but like, we can look other places too!" she suggested, because of COURSE Sunny wanted to do as much shopping as possible.

For the briefest moment when Alice mentioned accessorising, Sunny paused to consider. After all, back at her house she probably had more jewellery than the mall combined, and they could easily accessorise there. For a moment, the Gods of Narrative Convenience waged war with the personality of Sunny Slater, should they take the easy path and accessorise at her house, or do more shopping?

The Gods of Narrative Convenience didn't stand a chance.
"Oh, like, there are some amazing jewellery shops here we just HAVE to check out!" Sunny bubbled away. "And new outfits means new PERFUME!" she announced with excitement, as if this was somehow logical and widely accepted. "Like, TECHNICALLY speaking, I think I own at least one bottle of all the perfumes they sell here, but like, perfume shopping is the BEST so like, we can't miss that out!" she was floating again with excitement, before she caught herself and settled down. "Go on! Go change and we can carry on shopping!" she enthused, bursting with excitement and bubbly energy.

Sky High Meet

Sunny took the comment that she was 'very pink' the only way Sunny knew how. As a compliment!
"Oh, like, thank you! Yeah, like, my costume is just soooooooooo cute!" she did a little twirl in the air, cape fanning out, although her gravity field extended to make sure her hair stayed in place. She didn't want to look messy for her new friend. And they were friends, Sunny had decided, despite only exchanging a single sentence and Sunny not knowing her name yet.

She'd always wanted a fellow flying friend!

"So, uh, like, what's your name? Are you with the Hero Program? I always asked them to tell me if we got another flier 'cause I've always wanted to, like, y'know, be able to hang out in the air and stuff with a friend! But sometimes they don't tell me stuff. They say I talk too much and like, I'm bad at keeping secrets, plus I got in soooooooo much trouble for like, totally failing my last training session with this total grumpy guts. Her name was-" Fortunately, Sunny caught herself mid-babble. "Oh, uh, like, I'm not REALLY supposed to give out names. If I did that, I'd probably get in MORE trouble. I already gotta have another meeting on Monday with the bosses and like, ugh! It's not faaaair. They want me to work so hard AND they keep telling me off for wearing too much perfume. Like, TOO much perfume!? That's, like, not even a thing!" She went on, babbling excitedly.

A gentle breeze carrying the scent would tell Raven that yes, it definitely was a thing.

"So like, yeah, are you with them? Ohh, who designed your costume?" she asked, still beaming that same ditzy smile.

Sunny let out an exaggerated child-like moan as she got back onto the floor to do the push-ups as requested, knowing when to give up. Aoi might have been on the verge of pulling her hair out, but it took a special talent to make Sunny do something she didn't want to do, so in that respect, Aoi should have been proud of her achievements.

Because she certainly wouldn't be proud of Sunny's achievements. She didn't, predictably, manage the five push-ups, even on her knees. She managed two, but on the third only managed to push herself half way up before her skinny arms started shaking unbearably, and she collapsed, rolling over onto her back, panting desperately, utterly defeated by the simple task.

"Pleeeeease can we stop now?" she asked, gasping. She knew she still owed two and a half push-ups and a punch, but it was obvious that Sunny was done at this point. The girl literally didn't have it in her to do even the most basic of exercise. All she could do was lay on her back panting, her cape spanned out behind her like a very pink blanket...

Aoi Sato

For all of Sunny's many, many flaws, she was a sweet, kind girl who only wanted to be the best friend she could be to Alice. Which is why it was a shame that she was also incredibly ditzy and as dense as a black hole, and therefore failed utterly to notice that Alice's smile was not one of enthusiasm, but of great pain and suffering. While Alice was getting changed, which by Sunny's standards was quick even with Alice's bout of nerves, Sunny checked her make-up, and took a few selfie snaps to upload to Instagram, before scrolling through her cellphone to check for any news stories or nice shots of her.

She didn't look for long however before Alice emerged. Alice was obviously uncomfortable, and even Sunny could notice that, although in her pink-hued world, Sunny assumed it was because the rest of the outfit wasn't completed yet. Sunny approached, examining her like she was an artist admiring an uncompleted work of art, cocking her head to the side as she circled Alice.
"Okay, like, OBVIOUSLY, the dress is just PERF, but like, we're not done yet!" she said chirpily, as she considered what else was needed to complete the outfit. "Obvs shoes and jewellery, and you gotta let me do your make-up... Buuuut...." She looked thoughtful for a moment. "Like, how would you feel about a blonde wig?" she suggested, feeling it really would tie the look together. Plus, well, it'd be a good disguise, right?

"Nobody will ever suspect it's you then!" Sunny said quickly because she felt like Alice might protest this idea. But as far as Sunny was concerned, it'd be a good look for her. Okay, so maybe Sunny was just trying to dress her up like herself, but that was beside the point. She DID like that dress. Part of her was tempted to go and see if they had one in her size, but she considered it a bit sneaky to buy the same outfit as a friend.


It was totally cute though...
