While she definitely hadn't expected to meet anyone here, it would be lying to say that Kenzi's enthusiasm and manic energy weren't absolutely welcome. Even among the friendlier people she knew Megan so rarely met someone with the same sort of joy and wonder in the world that those who lack it tend to view as childish. But to her, that was what humanity was really about, our science and art alike being fueled by sheer excitement at discovering. She realized she had gotten her train of thought derailed by philosophizing about the meaning of life, which was far from an infrequent occurrence but it did get annoying at times. Megan grinned, nodding excitedly at Kenzi's enthusing about movies before laughing "Oh don't worry too much about it, getting lost on tangents isn't uncommon, besides sometimes you find great ideas there". She paused to gently stroke the skeletal wolf's head. It couldn't feel it and wasn't self-aware enough to react to it of course, but that didn't change the sheer amazing factor of petting a skeleton wolf. "I did voice acting work for a little while, which was pretty fun."Being asked to stare at a leaf might have been the strangest demonstration of powers she'd been given, but Megan went with it. She focused intently on the leaf... or tried to anyway as for some reason her focus absolutely could not stay on the leaf at all. There was something frankly improbably distracting about Kenzi's face despite it looking the same as it had before and not particularly unusual by any means. She blinked and suddenly the girl was very clearly holding 5 different leaves without Megan having seen her move a muscle "Ok, I have to admit that that is extremely cool. Correct me if I'm wrong but was that like a Somebody-Else's-Problem field type of effect?"

Megan whipped around at the sound of a voice, the wolf bending down ready to charge until she stopped it, being confronted by a girl who was so incredibly vivid that it seemed a miracle she hadn't seen her coming. The girl certainly was friendly enough, though she spoke at the rate of a bullet train. She was glad that she was caught by one of the rare people who shared her sentiment that her critters were interesting and not frightening. I mean, they were probably less dangerous now than when they were alive, and there wasn't even anything rotting on them!
Happily shaking Kenzi's hand she replied "I'm Megan. I have to admit I didn't expect anybody else out here, but it's all right. This park contains a big fossil site so I use it to test stuff out when I can. I have to admit I've never been any good at drawing or painting but I still love art, so I went to Film School." she gave the younger girl a wild grin "So you're a metahuman too? What's your thing?" there was a wild excited sort of curiosity in her expression "Because I'm not sure why but nearly every meta I've met, which is not that many admittedly, has had a power that suits them in some way. I'm curious to see if that trend continues to be true." The wolf sat down, and moved it's jaw as if it was yawning but of course no sound came out save the nearly inaudible creak of the joints.

Hero Program offices were the sort of place where seeing people popping in wearing bizarre outfits was fairly normal, and while Megan loved the sheer variety in styles and powers in the Heroes, she was rather caught off-guard by a woman in armor appearing out of thin air posing in a way that might have been dramatic in some scenarios, but certainly didn't manage it while holding a cardboard box in the middle of an office building.
Megan wasn't the enthusiastic Hero groupie type some of her friends in Film School had been, but Celerity was a Hero noteworthy enough to be unmistakable. As Celerity quipped her way around the room Megan couldn't help but focus on her armor, which was clearly far more decorative than functional, considering the shape of the chest piece would actually direct the force of any blow straight into the center of the chest. In the time it took her to think this she suddenly found the subject of those thoughts had moved directly in front of her.
Pausing for a moment to catch her breath, during which her hand was vigorously shook before she could react Megan replied "No... Yes... Hi... sorry, let me try that again. Yep I'm Menagerie, the new skeleton person if you couldn't guess from my cloths, and since I'm not sure if we've ever even been in the same city as each other before, so no, we haven't met. Are you busy? because if not I would love to talk to you some more. There's a couple of really nice cafes near here. I figure that as a new Hero it's a good idea to hear what lots of different people have to say about heroing" said with the conviction you might expect of someone non-ironically using a word they made up specifically for that sentence. Only a small amount of the jaw area had exposed skin on Megan's armor, but her grin was clearly visible through the gap.

Being a Hero was tiring work, but not always for the reasons most people would suspect. Sure there was plenty of physical exertion, but having to talk to dozens of unfamiliar and only sometimes friendly people daily, uphold laws, and maintain appearances simultaneous for large amounts of time on end all while keeping who you are a secret from most people? Fortunately for Megan, practicing with her powers had always been relaxing for her. So when she had enough time to herself she did the sensible thing- spend it hiding about 20 feet off-path in thick foliage in the middle on a public park in the 23rd largest city on earth, a place where everything smelled like a newly paved road. There was of course a perfectly good reason for her to do this. She was in Hancock Park, home to the La Brea Tar Pits, where from the moment she had entered she could feel that there were at least tens of thousands of skeletons going back the same number of years buried. Crouching down, Megan focused on a single skeleton. She could just tell it was there and about what size it was, what exactly it was eluded her until she'd brought enough up to recognize the signal she got from them automatically. She was certainly glad to be wearing her normal clothing for this, she quite liked her costume but chalk-white body armor hardly is difficult to notice. As she started to focus, sliding up through the ground like it was made of water came hundreds of black-tinted bones, and as they reached the surface they silently but rapidly snapped into position, and within 20 seconds the full skeleton of a bulky wolf was there, it's head tilted to be 'facing' Megan. She grinned "Now you're just gorgeous". It might not have been a very 'normal' seeming talent, but she still loved using her power. You would need to be slightly off the path to even see the area where she was, and seriously, who was going to be looking? Kenzi Nadir

Megan blinked. She had always been of the opinion that many metahumans could do much better if they were more creative with their powers, but she had never considered the fact that a large skeleton could lift far more weight then she ever could manage. "Control is pretty fine if needed, though they can also follow more general instructions. I've always suspected that the creatures don't have independent minds but that they're under my subconscious control if I'm consciously moving them. There are some things we'll nee to keep in mind of course, the heavier the creatures the fewer I can manage at a time, and I draw from what's in the area, so some places might not have much in the way of fossils or recent bones that can do much heavy lifting. They can't exactly use tools but for raw force output there shouldn't be any issues, honestly that's a great idea and I'm surprised I didn't think of it sooner".
Standing up an stretching she said "Honestly I never thought about it this way, but I could definitely do that sort of thing, but I can see why it would be useful". Instantly Dominic had gotten even more points in her book. Finding clever new uses for tools and skills that you already have had always seemed like a skill that more people could use. "Thanks for thinking of that Dominic. I'll be happy to give this a go. I've got to say I was a little nervous actually talking to people working in the Program." the 'was' part was a lie, but Megan didn't think that was really the point. She definitely still was somewhat nervous to meet the Heroes, but the organization as a whole was surprising her.

Though Megan had never been nearly as much of a Hero fangirl as a lot of people she knew, having someone treat her meeting Paladin as a sure thing was still a shocking reminder of the situation her brain was still not completely done internalizing. It was very reassuring though that nobody so far seemed to be all that put-off by her power, and that she was getting what she presumed was a similar talk to anyone entering the program. She was by this point surprised Dominic had chosen the career he did. For someone who's entire job was based on images, he understood that other things had to come first. Of course this was certainly much preferable to the alternative.
She perked up when Dominic mentioned her costume, leaning forward slightly "I'm glad you think so, I mean if people know what I do beforehand then there won't be breaking out when they figure it out. There's also the practical consideration that my power is exclusively in summoning and commanding thing, putting a bit of reinforcement onto my suit allows me to take a few hits despite having no physical advantage over other people." She took another cautious sip of coffee as Dominic explained how heroes get involved in causes. She spent a minute considering before responding "Hard choice, there's a lot of different sorts of stuff but" she paused to take another sip of coffee, as it had now cooled enough to be somewhat drinkable "Conservation has always been important to me, might just be because I practically grew up on documentaries, but I think an environmental group would be a good choice". She'd seen clips of Heroes doing that sort of thing but hadn't remembered it until Dominic mentioned it. "Though of course I'm flexible if any issues crop up"

It was starting to make some sense for Megan why this meeting had been listed as her first priority upon joining the program. Dominic understood how actual people on a level that was more characteristic of psychologists than businesspeople, he wasn't a hard person to confide in and he likely knew all the most common worries aspiring heroes get.
Megan listened along through the discussion of the more iconic heroes and of Tank. She had heard of Tank before but hadn't known much about him, though perhaps that was just because it had been a while since she last was on the east coast. When Dominic finally finished she gave a wry smile and said "Monster is a fairly relative term, but I imagine some people wouldn't like being called that".
Giving Gregory a gracious nod, Megan picked her cup, taking a cautious sip. "You're right this is actually pretty good". It was, though it was also scalding even for a drink that's supposed to be hot.
Replying to his grin in kind she took a deep breath before saying "Thank you. And you're right, there are almost certainly a lot of people in a state like I was before, wanting to do something in the world with their powers, but worried that the power isn't... heroic enough. I don't want people who could be making difference to be standing idly by from that fear, and I definitely don't want any of them working against the Initiative due to that fear, which probably could happen. If my inclusion in the program convinces some of these people that having abilities that scare most people doesn't prevent you from doing good things with them then I think it's definitely worth it."
"Not to mention I'm sure that there are some people frightened of the big-name heroes too. Any ability certainly can have it's terrifying parts, it's just in some they're obvious."

Megan took a seat in the armchair. She was quickly coming to like Dominic. The extreme formality of his appearance had made her worried but clearly his behavior was far more relaxed. The room too had a sense of having been heavily used that felt more reminiscent of a house than a professional office.
As Dominic moved to sit down Megan said "I haven't met that many other metahumans but from what I've heard there seems to be somebody with just about any conceivable power... I'm usually more of a tea person but since you've hyped it up so much I'll definitely give the coffee a try." Megan's trust in the government had never been especially high but from what she'd seen so far the Hero Program seemed to mostly be pretty good people, even the more business-esque sides were surprising her.
When asked a question she took a long time to consider before saying "I have to say no, I never really did. I was still a high schooler during the Event, and when I realized what my powers were... I mean say a pyrokinetic could probably do more damage in a shorter time then I could, but even people frightened by fire don't find it repulsive. I can't honestly say I didn't want to do good in the world, but what I could do scared me, maybe not the way it scared other people, but because it scared other people. The big reason I hadn't tried for the Program before is that I didn't think they'd want me." She gave a weak smile. She wasn't usually this shy, she cursed herself. But Dominic was a person who it felt hard to be anything but completely honest to.

The entire situation she was in still seemed surreal to Megan, even now she had trouble imagining herself as a part of the Hero Program. When she'd been told that she was going to meet a PR guy it seemed almost like a bad joke, like she was being mocked for the nature of her abilities. Megan tried to shake herself from that mindset as she approached the door of the office. As much as it might not be the thing anyone signed onto the Program for, having a good image was important. Not that it was that easy for her of course.
Megan entered the office with a nervous smile, taking in the strong scent of coffee as the secretary sent her in. Dominic Weaver was hardly an intimidating man though, and something about the room made feel feel much more relaxed. "Good morning Mister Weaver. I'm believe you've been expecting me?" she asked. His extremely high-end business attire would probably have looked strange on a lot of people but managed to suit him perfectly "Well I suppose we probably have some things to discuss. May I sit down?" It was all rather stiff and formal by her standards, but better safe then sorry.

Since she comes from a warm climate Megan has few and is not used to using coats of any type.
[break][break]
Megan’s ‘hero outfit’ is made to resemble a suit of riot gear made from bone. In reality most of it is cloth or plastic, but the armored areas are made from actual bone.[break][break]GENERAL[break][break]Megan is of average height and build, with her most noticeable feature being her dyed hair, which color she uses varies but bright red or blue is most common. Her sense of dress helps make an impression of ‘bright colored’ on an otherwise not very naturally notable person. [attr="class","hopelovetitle"]PERSONALITY [attr="class","hopelovetop"]Megan is generally a very cheerful and bubbly person and has an excited and energetic approach to life. She is very easily distracted from whatever she is currently working on by other ideas.[break][break]While generally very optimistic about the world as a whole, she is far from blindly so, and although she tries not to show it she’s come to expect that people will be afraid of her, and is somewhat pessimistic when it comes to the topic of herself. [attr="class","hopelovetitle"]HISTORY [attr="class","hopelovetop"]Megan Daniels was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, though she has moved several times throughout the US. She was always a fairly artistic type, eventually going to film school. Then while she was still in school The Event happened, and around her bones started emerging out of the ground and remaking themselves into full skeletons. She had excellent control over her powers and was tired of seeing metahuman criminals gaining power, but she avoided taking any action because she was worried that anybody seeing her use her powers would automatically assume she was up to no good.
[break][break]
Eventually her terror-borne neutrality ended when her father was nearly killed by a group of non-powered criminals who she tracked down and occupied with her skeletons until authorities could arrive. There was an attempt to charge Megan with vigilantism, but recognizing that she hadn’t really done anything dangerous, even to the criminals, she was acquitted. This case drew attention from some people in the Hero Program, and while she doesn’t entirely like or trust the program she does think it’s the best option she currently has.
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]POWER [attr="class","hopelovetop"][attr="class","hopelovesub"]Skeletal Reanimation[break][break]Megan can summon nearby non-human bones, including fossilized ones, to her location and cause them to form into complete skeletons that act as if they were animals that Megan could give commands to mentally.[break][break] LIMITS[break][break]Bones further than 4 square miles away can not be summoned or reanimated, neither can human bones or skeleton-like structures that are not skeletons, like the shells of insects. There is no hard limit on the number of skeletons that can be maintained at once but larger amounts of them and larger skeletons cause more strain and require more concentration.[break][break]WEAKNESSES[break][break]Megan’s skeletons are generally not as durable as the living animal was with muscle, fat, and skin. The skeletons are also made of either bone, or for fossils rock, and are vulnerable to anything that can affect these materials. Finally there’s the fact that if you get past her creatures, Megan is no stronger, faster, or more durable then the average person.[break][break] [attr="class","hopelovebot1"]PLAYED BY Kileskus [attr="class","hopelovebot2"] Susan Coffey as Megan Daniels PHARAOH LEAP.
