HAIR // black[break]
EYES // right eye golden amber left eye dark brown, practically black[break]
SKIN // pale white[break][break]
ATTIRE[break][break]
Evelyn wears very dark and simple clothing, whatever is most practical, she’s not going for style. She typically wears a black tank top or t-shirt and when it’s cold out or when she doesn’t want to stand out in public (which is most of the time) she wears a black hoodie, typically with the hood up to hide her face. She has long black, baggy pants with a lot of pockets that she wears to obscure her prosthetic leg and that she uses to help store knives. She always wears tennis-shoes, again, black. Sometimes she’ll wear gloves to hide her prosthetic fingers.
[break][break]
GENERAL[break][break]
Evelyn has a very unique appearance to say the least. To start with, she has white, almost sickly pale skin which makes her long, pencil straight pitch black hair stand out even more, which more often than not is a mess of tangles and fly-aways. She's five foot six and quite muscular. Her eyes are the most peculiar thing about her, as described above, her right iris is golden while the left is black, or they would be the most peculiar thing about her if it weren’t for her scars. Evelyn’s body is a myriad of scars, absolutely covered from head to toe in horrific, flesh twisting mutilations. The most notable scars would be the marred flesh around her wrists and remaining ankle from time spent in restraints far too tight for far too long, the long line that gouges deep and twists all the way around her left arm from when it was wrapped in barbed wire, the scar on her right hand going straight down the middle from when it was sliced nearly in half, the one over her right eye that makes it droop slightly from a quickly delivered swipe with a knife, and most notably of all, a deep and jagged scar on her left cheek running from the side of her mouth to the top of her cheek bone, half of a glasgow smile, a glasgow smirk if you will, which is extra mutilated from all the times she tore the stitches when she woke up screaming from her nightmares. This all not counting her missing appendages. Her ring and middle fingers on her right hand are missing, as is the ring finger on and left hand, the index and middle toes on her right foot, most of her left ear (though she can still hear out of it) and her entire left leg. She has made some amends for this though. Using her extensive intelligence and engineering knowledge, she fashioned herself a new leg that, although metal, functions just like a normal leg and looks just like one under a pair of pants and some shoes. She’s also created some robotic fingers to replace her missing ones. All of her prosthetics have some interesting additions. Evelyn is a bit of a knife fiend (well, a bit may be something of an understatement) and has fashioned all her fingers with tiny knives as well as quite a large one on the foot of her leg. Inside her leg, she stores her multitude of knives and has fashioned a hole in her pocket so she can reach in and grab one from her leg. Again, using her vast intelligence, she created a new technology of sorts, making so that her prosthetics connect to her nervous system so she can move them and control the knives with just a thought.

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]PERSONALITY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Evelyn has two very distinct sides to her, the one she shows the world and the one she shows only to herself and at one point one other person (and her cat). To everyone, she is a blank slate, completely unemotional and anti-social. Literally, she shows absolutely no emotion and it is extremely uncomfortable for her to emote. She can fake it, and she can fake it quite well when she needs to, but she hates doing it. She feels much more comfortable in her emotionless shell. She also always gives curt, straight-forward answers to anything posed at her and, while she doesn’t necessarily dislike making conversation as she finds it very useful for gathering information on people, she’s very bad at it.
[break][break]
On the inside, Evelyn may be even stranger. She is what approximates to a sociopath. She feels little to no empathy for others and sees all other people as either an enemy, an annoyance, a plaything, or a means to an end. She has a very dry and dark sense of humor. She’s incredibly arrogant, although after her brother’s death and the...incident that followed, that arrogance has subsided a bit, but just a bit. She thinks she is far superior to everyone else and her intelligence paired with her physical prowess and skill with a knife don’t diminish that. Speaking of, Evelyn loves flexing her intelligence, she loves solving puzzles and picking apart people based on their appearance, examining and making deductions based on those examinations. She also loves knives, she enjoys the challenge they pose and the skill they require compared to other weapons like guns. Evelyn loves a challenge, especially if it’s a dangerous one. She’s something of an adrenaline junkie and will often do things like climb tall buildings and attack and/or kill random people just for fun. She also does this in part to remind her of her brother. They’re activities they would often take part in together. Apart from puzzle solving and fighting, Evelyn loves engineering. She loves creating new things with a specific real-world function, it gives her a sense of power.
[break][break]
Evelyn’s not a metahuman so she doesn’t have a power per se, but she was born with extreme intelligence. I mean extreme intelligence. As in, the ability to learn anything incredibly fast intelligence. As such, while not to a superhuman level, she can obtain any skill much faster than the average person. She can solve highly difficult puzzles with ease and has an extremely accurate memory.
[break][break]
Although, it’s not all psychopathic roses inside Evelyn’s brain. After her incident she developed severe PTSD. It has subsided a bit with medication, but she still has an extremely difficult time trusting others, fits of paranoia, and frequent nightmares. She went through a period where anytime anyone touched her, she would have a violent flashback and attack them. She’s largely gotten over that, but she can still have panic attacks when people touch her, and sometimes still reacts violently if someone surprises her or touches her too harshly. Due to her experience, she’s also terrified of dogs.
[break][break]
Evelyn has a very tough time connecting with anybody. She doesn’t really want to. The only people she’s ever connected with are her brother, now deceased, and her cat named Cat (a bit of a story behind that name) who also has trouble connecting with others.

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]HISTORY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Evelyn and her twin brother Axel were the children of Lori and Maxwell Winters, a senator and CEO of a prominent business respectively. They grew up in a mansion in the woods in New York (not the city). Because of their jobs, their parents were never around much, so they were raised by a series of babysitters and nannies. I say series as none of them stuck around for long. None of them could handle the machinations of the twins, who would often manipulate and torture their caretakers or run off to the forest leaving them to desperately search for them and almost call the police before Evelyn and Axel came back in the nick of time, as they always did.
[break][break]
See, Axel was like Evelyn in many ways, he had the same black hair, the same heterochromia - right eye golden left eye black, he was a sociopath and a genius, and just like Evelyn, his twin was the only one he could ever truly relate to. Unlike Evelyn, however, he connected to plenty of other people. He loved manipulating others, putting on the false smile and all the charm in to goddamn world. He would always spread rumors at school to create havoc and just to see what would happen. He went on many a sexcapade with both men and women, the polar opposite of Evelyn, who is asexual.
[break][break]
They were both adrenaline junkies and knife fiends, and together they learned how to fight by watching videos of professionals online and training with each other. They would spend a lot of time together in the woods climbing the trees and talking. Evelyn would rant about her latest invention while Axel would go on about his machinations for the general public, and despite their diverging interests, they always loved listening to what the other had to say. They had names for each other, Ax and Ev, although if anyone tried else to called them that they would snap at them, or worse.
[break][break]
Evelyn killed her first person when she was eight. There was a man going for a walk in the woods, which was odd considering they were far from any kind of path. Evelyn and Axel were just sitting in a tree watching him walk by and Evelyn was toying with a knife and the thought popped into Evelyn’s minds: what if I threw the knife into his head? So she did. It buried deep into his skull and he went down with a thump. They climbed down from the tree to investigate. He was dead. Axel high-fived her. Although he was jealous his sister got the first kill out of the two of them, he was still proud of her. They expertly hid the body and no one ever found out. After that, they would point people out on the street and decide that they would kill them just for fun. They had created their own language by the time they were six (which they could never agree whether to call Evaxian or Axevian, but after Axel’s death, Evelyn settled on the latter), so no one knew what they were plotting.
[break][break]
The twins flew through school, skipping several grades, although not too many as to look suspicious. They had decided to hide their extreme intelligence, thinking it would garner too much attention. Still, they couldn’t help flaunting it a little. High school ended. Axel decided not to go to college, as they’d made a pact. They would never get a real job. They would go through life blackmailing, stealing, killing, and manipulating to make their way. They would never be part of the system. Evelyn, however, was curious about the college experience, so when she was fifteen she went off to a fairly prestigious college in the city and majored in Criminology and Engineering. Her brother moved with her, sleeping in a different bed every night but always nearby.
[break][break]
Criminology Evelyn found alluring, as in her spare time, she’d been solving crimes: looking up information about murders, gathering evidence, finding the culprit, just for fun. She always loved puzzles, especially dangerous and potentially illegal ones. Eventually, not really knowing what to do with her findings and wanting to show off to someone other than her brother, she would turn the information into the police.
[break][break]
When they were eighteen, their parents died in a car crash. Only they knew how little the other cared. That same year Evelyn got offered a job in the police force. She accepted. A year later, and very much against protocol, she got promoted to detective where she met her partner Mike who she formed what could almost be called a friendship with. Axel, obviously, wasn’t too happy about Evelyn breaking their pact, but eventually got over it.
[break][break]
Axel had been into drugs for a long time. It was an adrenaline junkie thing, and Axel’s number one priority above everything else was always fun, no matter the cost and the greater the risk the better. Evelyn generally avoided drugs, wanting to keep her mind sharp, but was perfectly fine with Axel’s drug use. They were invincible after all. They’d done so many dangerous things, and they’ve never gotten hurt. They were so much greater than human, how could something like drugs ever harm them? So when Evelyn was twenty and got the call that her brother had overdosed on heroin. She broke. Something in her mind absolutely snapped. She went on a killing spree, first killing anyone in the room with him the day he died, then the person who sold them the heroin, then the person who gave the person the heroin to sell and up and up and up until...
[break][break]
Well one day she got a bit sloppy.
[break][break]
Her mind was a mess of emotion, and despite all her skill, the tumultuous storm inside her head must’ve clouded her abilities, as a swift blow to the back of her head knocked her out. She woke up strapped tightly to a old-fashioned electric chair and greeted by the ring-leader, the drug lord of the city who, as Evelyn never learned his name, she simply dubbed Glasgowman due to his Glasgow accent. He wanted to know her motivations, how she was able to find out so much about their business, who she was working for, etc. She didn’t say a word. That's when he took a knife to her flesh, and realizing it was a bit too deep, cauterized it with a blowtorch. She didn’t flinch, didn’t show an ounce of the pain she was feeling. This intrigued Glasgowman greatly, and so he cut her again.
[break][break]
This went on for weeks, months, increasing in intensity. He would cut off pieces of her and feed her to the myriad of dogs he owned. He was greatly amused by her lack of emotion and made it her personal mission to try to make her emote. He broke her bones, cut off her fingers, her toes, her ear, her leg. It was during this time that a peculiar thing started happening. Evelyn started hearing Axel. And eventually started seeing him. He became something of a post-mortem hallucination, and ironically enough, her only tether to sanity. Throughout all this, she never emoted, because she knew if she did, he would kill her instantly.
[break][break]
One day, after far too long, neither Glasgowman nor any of the other members of the gang were in the room and enough blood had gotten between her wrist and the restraint, enough to make it so that she could move her hand, dislocate her thumb, and slip out. She grabbed a plank of wood nearby and used it as a crutch and made a pained and hasty escape from the building, getting far away enough that she could finally release and pass out.
[break][break]
She woke up in the hospital some time later, giving only her first name and no other information about who she was or what happened to her. There, she was nursed back to health with difficulty, as anytime someone touched her she would react incredibly violently (although hurting herself more than others) and would keep thrashing and screaming in her sleep, irritating broken bones and tearing stitches. A young med student named Jared became somewhat infatuated with her and she, much to her chagrin, used this to her advantage, although her hallucination of Axel was quite proud. It was during this time that she became aware of the metahuman ordeal, although that was barely a blip on her radar, still is.
[break][break]
Once she was well enough, they fitted her with a poor prosthetic leg and sent her to the psych ward where she had a tumultuous stay, but got much needed medication for her PTSD. There, a woman named Marcy forced her friendship upon her and gave Evelyn her contact information. When Evelyn learned they were planning on sending her to residential, she made a hasty escape, killing several people along the way.
[break][break]
After that, she was reunited with the trailer she’d been using as a workshop to create knives and other little nick nacks. She drove the trailer out into the woods, began living in it, and started fashioning her new appendages. Out there, she came across a feral cat, splotchy black and white with green eyes that faded into gold at the edges, like her a clipped ear and covered in scars. He was at first antagonistic towards her, but after Evelyn began leaving water out for him, he very, very slowly began to take a liking toward her. Eventually, he began following her around, although he would still hiss at anybody that would walk past. One day someone asked what his name was. Evelyn simply looked at him and said the first thing that came into her head: “Cat.” They asked if it was with a K, to which Evelyn replied, “No.”
[break][break]
After crafting her new appendages, Evelyn decided to get back on track. She needs to find Glasgowman and she needs to kill him. Slowly and painfully. She will do anything to accomplish her goal and destroy anyone that gets in her way

There, a woman named Marcy forced her friendship upon her and gave Evelyn her contact information. When Evelyn learned they were planning on sending her to residential, she made a hasty escape, killing several people along the way.

After crafting her new appendages, Evelyn decided to get back on track. She needs to find Glasgowman and she needs to kill him. Slowly and painfully. She will do anything to accomplish her goal and destroy anyone that gets in her way
