She does however have a strong aversion to short sleeves because more exposed skin means her power’s effects are more obvious. She does admittedly sometimes have to break this rule if she’s going to be exercising.[break][break]GENERAL[break][break]Nell has a fairly slight and thin build and slightly above shoulder length hair. Though she tries her best to conceal these, small areas of skin often turn into tree bark without her noticing or trying to do it for minutes at a time. Though certainly attractive, this tends to be made less obvious by her tendency to always look scared of nothing in particular.

[attr="class","hopelovetop"]Nell is generally a very quiet and withdrawn girl, it's not that she doesn’t like other people (though it may seem that way at times), rather she takes time to trust people, and even once she does she really doesn’t know how to maintain positive relationships. She tends to figure that people don’t particularly care if she’s around no matter whether or not that is true.[break][break]Beyond all this, Nell is a rather clever and perceptive person with a passion for music, having played the violin since she was seven.

[attr="class","hopelovetop"]Naomi Omix (preferring to go by the name Nell) is the daughter of engineer Lisa Omix and fencing instructor Abraham Omix, having lived in Rochester, NY for most of her life. While merely somewhat distant parents for most of her life, they both became violently metaphobic in the aftermath of the Event, despite the fact that their daughter had developed powers during it.[break][break]Cycling through living with various other family members she eventually ended up with one who was sympathetic enough to try enrolling her into the EMBA due to her constant issues at normal schools. She’s currently trying to just get through school while trying to figure out what to do with her life.

[attr="class","hopelovetop"][attr="class","hopelovesub"]Plant Morphing[break][break]Nell’s power is that she can morph large or small areas of her body into various plant parts, such as strengthening her defenses by turning her skin into bark or covering it in thorns, as well as more situational uses like producing sap or vines.[break][break] LIMITS[break][break]Shifting parts of her body may take a few seconds to complete, and can only be held for an hour at most. Each use has some limitations of its own- such as that while tree bark is stronger than human skin it is still entirely damageable.[break][break]WEAKNESSES[break][break]First and foremost, her abilities follow conservation of mass and she can only create a plant part by temporarily replacing some of her normal body with it, also the parts are similar to regular plant matter in that they are not very flexible (especially bark) and burn easily. Finally, she doesn’t have the ability to fully shut off this ability in the sense that small areas of her skin often shift into bark and back without her even noticing, making her powers rather impossible to disguise.[break][break]
