Another chuckle left Raven. "You know, you could've just said 'I'm a teenager'. It would've done just the job." She remarked as her smile remained in place. She picked up her cup and had another sip of coffee. Her gaze however remained upon Jack, while curiosity appeared within her eyes. "Though now you're making me wonder just how corrupted you could possibly be."Upon being asked once more about her reasoning for being in San Francisco she began to wonder if there was a lot more to Jack than met the eye. There was her trying to get a grasp of the teen, and in return the same seemed to be happening to her also. In her case she hadn't been able to work out much, if anything at all. There was just that random gizmo of a stun gun that had been used previously. "I'm not a vigilante." She gave a shake of her head, followed by her tucking her hair behind her ears. "I don't usually make a habit of butting into confrontations, saving people, or that sort of stuff in general. That said I'm also not a fan of seeing a kid being ganged up on. If you'd been a grown adult, then I wouldn't have even bothered to get involved. I would've left you to it." She admitted with a shrug, skirting about her reasoning for being there in the first place once more. "You know much about Paladin?" She then asked in return. It was a name she had heard about in passing, but nothing more. She however didn't want to come across as completely ignorant.

Raven chuckled under her breath and then smiled towards Jack. "Oh I dunno." Her eyes displayed her inner amusement. "You'd probably be surprised to know just where I've ended up over the last several months." She told them as she started to lean back a little in her seat, just to halt the motion as the seat creaked underneath her. The last thing she wanted right then was to break a chair because she was started to become distracted. Instead she cleared her throat slightly and straightened up before she carefully picked up her cup and took a sip of the hot alcohol tainted coffee. With any luck the former action would just be ignored. She placed the cup down and nodded in appreciation as she swept her tongue briefly over her lips, being as she had just managed to burn her mouth a little. Not that she minded all that much. "What do you know, the coffee here is good. Actually make that awesomely good." She stated as she showed how impressed she was. Raven then cast her gaze back towards Jack. "There are some things out there however that are better than a jolt of caffeine." She tod them with another chuckle, while a smile played over her lips. "But considering I don't know diddly squat about you Jack, I wouldn't want to harm a potentially innocent mind." She added as that smile broadened slightly. She was in a way still trying to figure out just what Jack was. She could easily start to slowly provoke them to try and get a rise out of them. Not that she was all that certain at this stage if it was possible.

Raven raised her eyebrows as she noticed that Sunny actually pouted at not being recognised. Then at a mention of her being compared intellectually with the Prime Minister she tried not to smile. "Sounds like you made one hell of an impression." She commented, though inwardly she actually wanted to laugh. "Don't feel bad about me not having heard of you. Like I said I'm not big on the media. I've missed out on a lot of important things because of that." She remarked in an attempt to cheer the bubbly blonde up. Raven kept up the friendly facade as Sunny explained the reasoning for having such an alias. She gave a nod and smiled. "Well, Gravity Girl seems to work like a charm with you."She half squinted as Sunny explained that it was keeping her hair perfect that had her able to keep her concentration in regards to her own control. It was still surreal for her to meet someone who was that obsessed with their outwards appearance. The more that Sunny went on about her hair, the more that Raven associated her with being some sort of bimbo. "Well your hair looks... great. It looks great." She tried to keep up the friendly disposition. At the same time she swept her own hair out of her face as a stronger gust of wind had it go into her face more than it had done previously. "Goddammit..." She uttered under her breath. For a fleeting moment she actually envied Sunny.

Raven looked towards the other woman, even if her vision was impaired to the point that the woman was mostly a huge blur. Upon seeing the gestures that she made, she moved towards her to get a better look. Close enough that most people would feel as if their personal space was being invaded. She squinted at what appeared to be a scar on the woman's neck. She then leaned back and swayed mildly as she peered down toward the stranger. "Oh!" Raven raised a hand up and pointed towards her neck, before mimicking the zipper motion over her lips. "You can't talk can you! Wow!" A half laugh bubbled up from her and she gave a shake of her head. More than anything she was amused. "Well now, don't worry, ole Raven here will talk up a storm for the both of us. She stated matter of factly as she introduced herself and gave a large yet drunken confident smile. "Heck we'll come up with a system. Blink twice for yes and once for no, and a wink for more drink!" She exclaimed with an enthused laugh. She took a step back and looked over her shoulder, then gave another drunken smile. "While we're at it we can figure out a way for you to tell me your name. I mean you gotta have a name. Everyone has a name. Whether real, really really crappy, or one of them um, name things, you know not real ones." She raised up her right hand and twirled a finger. "Crap what you call 'em...."Raven kept twirling her finger before she suddenly snapped her fingers together. "Nicknames! That's it nicknames! Now how could I forget nicknames." She shook her head and chuckled again. "Anyway, anyway, where were we?" She poked her tongue out the corner of her mouth, then smiled once more. "Drinks. Of course. Follow me." She half waved along towards out of the alley, where she would be able to have a pick of bars.

Since she was literally starting to vomit at the time that she had felt someone's hand go into her, Raven's usual reaction to grab the wrist of the person just wasn't there. At least that hand that hold of her hair seemed to be helping to keep it out of the way. Not a grab or tug. She leaned over more so there would be slightly less mess, or at least an attempt to reduce the mess. Vomiting wasn't exactly a mess free thing. Raven vomited for at least a minute before she gave way to a cough instead. The back of her hand going over her mouth, in an attempt to clean herself up. Her head felt like it was pulsating. Not something she enjoyed. Now however she started to straighten herself up. All five foot four inches of herself. Her boots boosting her up by another two inches, bringing her up to about the average height. She shoved her hand over her hair to get some order to it. She turned to look to her helper. An eyebrow raising up being as she had to look down. "Wow, you're short." She stated abruptly, her words a little slurred. "Really short. Thank you short woman. Thanks a lot. Let me thank you properly. I'll treat you to something. Something nice. Something good. Something to make you grow. Something awesome..." She started to ramble towards the stranger before her. She began to reach out in order to grab hold of the woman's arm, missing in the process, which was likely for the best. Raven's control over her strength always went a bit iffy while she was under the influence. One moment she was able to cope with the strength, and another she would forget herself, causing some considerable damage. Usually on a drunken binge night the victims of her strength was furniture and whatever she had been drinking from. "Come on I'll treat you. Great bar round the corner. Great cocktails from what I've heard. Plus cute guys behind the bar, gotta love something to ogle while drinking. C'mon." She made a motion with her arm for the woman to follow her.

"Uh, London, England, originally. But I moved around that way a lot. Then again media really isn't my strong point." Raven answered, again going closer to the truth. She really had to try and not do that. She really had no idea just how she could use this 'getting to know you' thing, when it was her giving the information out instead. "You from around here then?" She managed to throw in another question. "Thanks. Gravity Girl... well that's a pretty unique name." She commented lamely. If it hadn't been clear that she wasn't used to talking to people like Sunny, well that was likely to point towards her more antisocial aspects. If it wasn't for their shared ability of flight then she more than likely would have steered clear of her. The explanation of the abilities were more useful, and finally there was something that didn't throw her. Perhaps it was down to the fact that Sunny understood her abilities. That she could actually appreciate. "You're lucky. I don't just mean your hair. I mean you know how you do it. I... well, I don't. I think about flying and it just happens. Then when something throws my concentration..." She trailed off and shook her head. She after all had partially demonstrated that just minutes prior after a brief lack of concentration. "At the moment for me, it's kinda like mentally treading water to avoid sinking." Sometimes she wished she had a better understanding of how she managed it.

The night was going somewhat off the rails for Raven. During what was originally just her exploring a bit more of San Francisco, ended up with her going on what was becoming a bar crawl. Granted she wasn't sure there was even a name for it when it was done just by one person. She hadn't long left a place which had turned out to be woefully disappointing. For what she considering in the high range of prices, had turned out to be watered down bottles of her normal tipple. She had gone on to drinking random shots which another patron had helpfully paid for. Probably as a means to try and get into her underwear. She'd had no intention of finding out whether that was the case. Instead she had waited until the male had left to go to the bathroom, then had disappeared out of the bar completely. There she was now. In an alleyway. One hand pressed against the wall. The other trying to shove her loose black hair out of her face as best as she could. While she was literally beginning to retch, on the verge of emptying the contents of her stomach. The shots had been a bad idea. The fact they were tequila was even worse. She always had this reaction to it. Drunk she was. But it her inebriated mind once she had managed to purge herself, even if was in not the most appropriate place, she would be able to continue on her current drunken binge.

Having collected her own prepared coffee Raven followed Jack over to where they were headed. As usual whenever she sat herself down she was cautious. She never liked the idea that anything could break under her the moment she sat down. She perched herself on the seat opposite and placed her cup down. Giving it a moment for cool down enough to stop the risk of burning her mouth.
"Believe me there's more than enough people out there who much prefer a cup of tea. By that I mean real brewed tea. Not a teabag in a cup of water stuffed into a microwave. If you listen carefully you can hear the cries of million English people from across the pond." She remarked with a chuckle, amusement filling her eyes.
"Coffee makes it easier to keep awake or to give a proper caffeine buzz." She then added. Glancing about a moment she ended up taking out the old fashioned styled flask from her pocket, and taking off the cap she splashed a bit of its contents into her coffee. "Though sometimes a little extra makes it much nicer."
Without a second thought she had a brief swig from the flask directly before putting it away. She didn't even truly notice when she did that at times, this however was just a quick measure of satisfaction.
"What makes you think I haven't already been that way?" She answered Jack's question about LA. Her look of amusement returning once again.

Raven was being observant enough, even if Sunny was able to throw her, to spot the disappointment in her not knowing who she was. "If it helps I'm not exactly from around here." She told the blonde. Having drifted about for so long her cockney accent wasn't as strong as it used to be. Even so some words still were spoken in a way that it could be noticed. She had never thought of her alias as a superhero name. She had a feeling that she was about to deliver another small blow to the woman. "Well actually I was given it as a nickname by some guy I once knew. It sorta just ... well stuck." It was an alias that she had been happy to take on. For her Rina had always felt like such a babyish name. Just why she was telling Sunny this she had no idea. Again it was something she attributed to Sunny throwing her. She nodded meekly throughout the mild rant about heels, all the while wondering just how Sunny ended up the way she was. Bubbly, and very hyper for sure. During her time in prison most like that were purely down to whatever drugs they had gotten their hands on. Outside of prison walls however she had no idea whatsoever. "Uh... sure. I'll beep you or something if I change my mind." She nodded at the secondary offer. She figured it might be one way to stop Sunny from virtually begging. Not that she was sure that would even happen. Shoving her hair unceremoniously away from her face in a mild battle to keep it out of her eyes, she ended up giving Sunny a curious look. "Why is your hair not moving?" She hadn't seen it move once.

"You probably have a point there." Raven cast a side glance towards Jack. Other than her old home town, she couldn't recall many who were ever considered locals. And here in the States anyone of interest were almost always from elsewhere also.
She followed Jack alone, her peering over the building which held the coffee shop. It seemed small and quaint enough. She figured since it wasn't a typical run of the mill chain store then people like Jack were the type that kept it going. Jack certain went enough for the staff on shift to get their coffee cake at the ready when they came in through the door. "You must come here a lot by the looks of it." She commented in mild amusement.
On being told whatever she wanted was on Jack she gave a nod. Her gaze briefly going to the credit card that was produced for payment. "Double espresso for me." She stated simply as her request. Her hand patting at the place of her flask once again, even if she had already done so just minutes prior.

"Sunny..." Raven blinked once more. Even the name that was spoken to be said that it was the woman's true name seemed too bizarre to her. Bright and pink. With a very sunny disposition. How very appropriate that her name was Sunny. "Uh, no. I didn't know that." She admitted with a shake of her head. For the briefest of moments her train of thought disappeared completely, along with the natural thought of flying. She dropped down about a foot before she made the mental correction and floated up again. If this woman had the power of distraction then she could almost be forgiven for it, otherwise losing control like that was just plain embarrassing for her. Sunny certainly had the gift to derail someone's thoughts, whether she meant to or not. She gave a small shrug of her shoulders as the premise of the Program was given. "It's not my kinda thing. Don't like being tied down." She stated. She wasn't about to admit that she had a thing for causing trouble. Any kind of trouble for that matter. She wasn't really all that offended at what could be considered an insult. She was however almost feeling horrified of the very idea of someone covered head to toe in pink designing a costume for her. She dreaded to think what the outcome of that would be. A brief image of her in a bubblegum pink spandex suit with bows in her hair made her cringe briefly. She ended up giving her head a shake. "Uh, I'm fine for outfits ... really. But thanks." She told her with an almost apologetic smile.

"Does anyone actually come from around these parts?" Raven chuckled slightly with a shake of her head. It wasn't just San Francisco that she had in mind.
"I suppose this place has its charms. One of the reasons why I don't mind coming this way. Even just for a flying visit." She added. She quite liked dropping in jokes about her mode of travel, even if it did get lost on some people.
As for Jack she wondered now what they were making of her. She was almost tempted to ask, but she kept that urge at bay instead. For now she just continued to walk alongside them towards their destination. Her patting briefly at a point of her coat, where she kept by habit a flask. Coffee was on the cards but she was likely to give it a small addition. That pat purely assurance that the flask was indeed there.

"You take being prepared to a whole new level. Gotta say I'm impressed." Raven nodded a little, more out of appreciation than anything else. Her gaze went to that device one more, granted she didn't get much more out of it since it ended up being put away. She was half tempted to try and get Jack into a situation where she could pick pocket the thing. It was just the matter of figuring out whether it would truly be worth it.
She now started to walk along with Jack after being gestured at to follow them. She smiled a little towards them as they mentioned about the coffee place they knew of. "Great coffee. Well that sounds just... great." She chuckled a little. "Never have been able to get onboard anything else related. Cakes... ice-cream and the like. A simple black coffee does the job. None of those fancy sweet frothy things either."
She cast her gaze over towards Jack as they walked. "You actually from around here then?"

At this point Raven was wondering who the heck she was dealing with. The super bubbly personality wasn't really one that she tended to deal with. Most were much quieter, and also subtle. Not quite so bursting with energy, with something that she attributed to a child like innocent. She caught onto the fact that she was being asked for her name once more. Granted it was no wonder she hadn't answered with how thrown off she had been. "Oh, name's Rina." She paused briefly, virtually cursing herself for the real name use. "But I normally go by Raven." She added quickly. She in comparison was looking rather wind swept. A hint of pink over her face from the wind itself from where she had no protection, while her hair, even while she floated mid air, was blown about a little. Strands of hair going into her face, causing her to move it back every so often. While she was in motion her hair didn't usually bother her. With the female rambling quickly in excitement she was able to figure out a little about her. At this point wondering if anything she rambled could come in use for her at some stage. There of course was the talk of the hero program, but even with a loose tongue the younger female was able to curb giving out too much. When the female finally managed to pause for breath, which Raven was actually impressed with the amount of time, it gave her an opportunity to speak. "Oh I'm not with any programme." She stated with a shake of her head. She then looked down at her own outfit. She didn't normally get asked about her outfit. She didn't wear anything special. Just black jeans, a vest top, a simple basic jacket, and thick heeled boots. Casual enough not to stand out. She didn't like clothing to get in the way whilst flying. "Uh, nobody?"

Whatever it was that Raven had been expecting when she approached the pink flying thing, the last thing she expected was to be face to face with a younger female who screamed girlie girl. There was just an overwhelming amount of pink. She dreaded to think just how much perfume the woman had splashed on, in order for her to smell it all the way up there in the sky. Until that moment she didn't even know it was possible. The greeting she received was not what she expected either. Straight away showing how bubbly the woman was, her going into a peppy ramble. Raven herself blinked a little, while she started to float not far from the woman who introduced herself as Gravity Girl. It was one of those moments that she realised just how out of touch she was with wordly goings on. This type of person would stand out, and here she was, completely clueless as to who she was now dealing with. "Uh hi." She spoke barely, for the briefest moment she was almost speechless. But it didn't last for long. "You're, uh, very ... well, pink." She remarked rather lamely. She just couldn't help herself. In a way she was actually thrown off her usual line of thought. Any sense virtually disappearing, at least for the time being.
