The worst thing is life is beaurocracy, that's for sure, Alexandra thought, as she drank a sip from her coffee, and prepared herself for the great fantastic adventure of standing in a queue for three hours, just to get a signed paper, so she could stand in a queue for another two hours to deliver it to the necessary office, hence, she'd be able to postpone her modern neuropsychology exam another two months. Seriously, in the age of computers, smartphones and all that stuff, one still needs to get all this done physically, taking up all that precious time. This simly doesn't make sense, she sighed, as she paid for the coffee and headed out of the university café with a dossier in her hand. Another long day coming...
But, then, the best laid plans of mice and men were wrecked in the simple moment, as she suddenly got a notification on her phone from a police emergency network (also available for heroes) that five criminals, belonging to a yet unknown organization, broke into a bank downtown, holding the people inside hostage, trying to take their hands on a large amount of diamonds stored in the vault. The situation was apparently crucial, and a special police team was already on their way to the scene. Alex shrugged with a slight smile, and decided that the queue will have to wait, and the university office clerks won't have the chance to encounter her ear-to-ear smile today. Now she had something more important (and much more fun) to take care of.
The woman quickly headed out of the lobby, feeling lucky that noone has recognized her, asking for autographs or something, found her car at the parking lot, and headed downtown. Listening to the police broadcast on her car radio, she began formulating a plan as she drove. (She also received a text message from her mom on Viber, asking for gift ideas for her sister's upcoming birthday, but she decided those gift ideas can wait... at least for the moment...) Fortunately, traffic was surprisingly low, allowing her to arrive to the crime scene in a hurry. She parked her car in a nearby alleyway, and quickly (and unobserved) changed into her hero attire (she chose her full bodysuit, complete with lightweight boots for this job). Getting out of the car, she approached the towering bank building, already surrounded by a police cordon, and police cars were blocking the entrance. Cops were buzzing all around, trying to hold back the curious crowd, filled with news cameras and reporters covering the scene.
"Hello there, guys.", Alex shouted loudly, accompanied by a wide grin, as she walked closer, suddenly diverting all attention to herself. Even though she was still her regular size, her costume gave away her identity. The cops, the civilian crowd and the distinguished members of the press now all suddenly began buzzing around her, all trying to catch a glimpse of the recently-arrived superhero. "It seems, you have a problem." She heard some voices talking to each other among the bedazzled crowd, "Is she..." "Yeah, the big one..." "Lady Godzilla herself..."
