Dara was going stir crazy being cooped up in the house for so long. Her over protective mother since her migraines and seizures started didn't allow her to do much outside of being glued to her mother or some hospital room recently. This was a new city she was living in and she wanted to see the sites of the local area. One day Dara convinced her mother to let her go for a walk in the city. This was only after she installed a tracking app that her mom could know where she was at any one time. She couldn't thank her enough to allow her to do this independent of her. "Your the best !!" Dara told her mother as she gave her a huge, tight hug. The teen with her new found freedom set out one early morning to see this city that she was calling home. The birds were singing, the sun was out and warm, the smell of freshly mowed grass tickled Dara's nose, the breeze was cool and refreshing! This is what living was, how good it felt to be out and not have a headache, migraine or a seizure, though in the back of Dara's mind she knew that it could change in an instant. Dara was happy and walked around, visiting stores and wishing for this and that and enjoyed making a 'wish' list of things she wanted. There was one thing Dara did not know and that was that she was being followed by Kristen. Kristen was good at 'shadowing' others as she could make an empathic connection with anyone. well almost anyone. Kristen had to stay over thirty feet from Dara and it was starting to be hard to keep her connection as her own ability only gave her a few more feet then Dara's. But Kristen made due and stayed with Dara, watching her every move unknowing to Dara she had a shadow. When it came to food, Dara just wanted to buy everything in sight, everything at the food trucks and mini stands all looked good and the smell of the all the food made her mouth water. She would settle on getting a wrap and a taco, she took her meal to the side of a fountain that was near by in the shade of a circle of trees that towered over the area. Pigeons dotted the area as some people threw seed or bread for them to quicky eat up. Dara watched them with delight as she ate her tasty treats from the two food trucks. Once done, she threw out her trash in a trash can and continued her walk about town. It wasn't long she came upon a small crowd of people. Wondering what was going on she mad her way over, it appeared to be a street preformer, a female with black hair seemed to be doing something. Interested, Dara would make her way to the front of the area where she could watch easily. Unknowing to her was that her presences was going to cause quite a stir with the female street actress. It had been a typical, routine day--or at least, it should have been. A day like any other, with the illusionist heading off to her usual pitch in a busy part of San Francisco to perform her street magic. It felt almost automatic the moment she took a bow and curved her lips up into a lopsided grin, this time making a flurry of colors seemingly pour out of her top hat. Today, she'd planned to make the performance "circus-themed", which--despite what others thought--Ari had never done before. It started off pretty magnificently as neon figures danced about like actual circus performers, slowly culminating down to the big finish that involved cannons and acrobats and--
Poof. Gone.
Thankfully she'd managed to make the neon acrobats land on the ground before they disappeared, as if smoke blown away by a gust of wind. Suddenly she could feel the faint tightening in her head that she usually felt whenever she was using her powers; had it somehow turned itself off without her will? Ari was confused--a bit panicked, even, but she didn't dare show it. Not now, not with a bunch of people crowding in on her. She knew she had to do something, though, and her eyes flicked about as she tried to quickly resolve the situation.
Her eyes landed on her coin hat.
Aha.
Not wasting a minute, Ari swiftly knelt down and gracefully picked up as much coins as she could. "Now watch these coins fly!" It had been very long since she performed coin manipulation, but skills don't exactly disappear, don't they? Ari just hoped it wasn't rusty from years and years of unuse.
Needless to say, what followed next was still entertaining, yet aesthetically disappointing. Ari was definitely going to expect a decrease in audience after this...whatever this was. She was still yet to know why in the world her illusions stopped working.
It wasn't going to be long, however, because in a few minutes something--someone--else was going to cause a stir in the small crowd Ari had performed for.

This day was one of freedom that she had not had since before getting sick with some unknown aliment that resulted in migraines and seizures. Convincing her mother to let her take a stroll into town with the help of a tracking app. Dara was enjoying her day, her freedom and her walk today, yet all that was about to end unexpectedly. She had wanted to see the street preformer preform but as she was making her way through the crowd she suddenly had another one of her seizures, falling to the ground and her body stiff and then jerking about. Someone in the crowd would turn her on her side and they called 911. In a short time before the medics would arrive, Dara came to and noticed the crowd around her. She stood up and shook herself off and told everyone she was fine, even though she knew that was a lie. The medics came and Dara told them she was fine and all but they insisted on getting vitals anyway.
