"No, Abby I don't want to ride your horse, you know I aways end up flying off the thing, no thank you!" Dara complained to Abby who asked her yet again to ride her horse. Dara kept thinking it was maybe that Abby enjoyed watching her get thrown off her steed. "Until I get a pilots licence, I am not getting up on there, period!" Abby would always laugh as she got up on her horse and trotted off into the near by woods for a trail ride. Dara enjoyed the horses, just not riding them. Her thing was ice skating and later on she will be in her element, gliding across the ice with ease. Abby could never master ice skating and it was always fun for Dara to taunt Abby, like Abby does to her. The twins at home later that night had a nice dinner with their parents, talking about the days going on and such. Mom made the girls favorite meal that night, chicken kiev. It was a chicken breast pounded thin, then a ball of garlic herb butter was put in the middle and the chicken wrapped around it, an egg bath and breaded, then deep fried to all the crispy browness. The first cut into the tasty savory treat sends the now melted butter slipping out of the crispy chicken. "YUM!" the girls always exclaimed when mom placed the meal on their plates. After dinner they sat still talking about things they had done during the day, then they watched some TV before going to bed. During the night the "Event" would happen and little did the family know that one of them would be changed forever. Dara woke with a migraine and stumbled into the bathroom for some advil. Her parents worried, would bring her to the hospital for tests but would not find anything wrong with the child who was sent home to recover. Little did anyone know that Dara had been touched by the "Event."

Dear Diary, The migraines are starting to worry the 'rents so much so that there is talk of moving, well only me and mom to san fran, mom is going to take up a nursing supervisor at UCSF Medical center they also want to do a number of tests on me because they are unable to find a cause to these migraines and yesterday I had a seizure that sent to to the ER overnight. Again they can not find a cause to my condition. To get Kara off my back, I got on her horse, only if she held onto the lead line of course she being Kara, she started to walk and then unclipped the lead line and I was by myself and her horse! I was so scared! I quickly dismounted because I did not want to take another flying lession off her steed. I swear I am going to get her back! How I don't know yet. Mom also said something about maybe getting a dog that is trained to help with the migraines, how? I have no idea, I would love a dog though! Ray at school asked me to help him with his math, me help him with math!?! Talk about the blind leading the blind. Oh well, maybe he just wants to get together or something, you know how teen aged boys are these days. Oh do you think he will ask me out or to a school dance? Woo that would be nice, no not nice, GREAT! I don't know maybe it is a prank, no boy has asked me to help them with anything. I'm only popular getting picked on. Maybe moving I can reinvent myself and in the school I can make something of myself? I guess that is the only up side of moving right?! Well the 'rents have been keeping tabs on me because of my migraines, time to go take my meds and head for bed. talk more to you later and remember don't tell anyone!

Dear Diary, Oh boy, where do I even begin to start? Do you want the good or the bad? Good first? OK. Well, Ray asking me to help him with his math was a ploy, he asked me to the dance! OMG! Me and mom went out to get a dress for the dance, mom brought me to get my hair cut and styled, don't worry it was like a trim and style. So the day of the dance I was up all day, really I should have taken a nap but no I didn't. I was so excited but so nervous for the dance, I took two showers! Ray was such a gentleman, he got me a courtsaze(Sue me I cant spell it!) It had three white roses with purple carnations, babys breath and greens. He slipped it on my wrist so gently. I got him(mom paid for it) a white rose with babys breath and fern, with a black ribbon. Before we left in a limo, mom had me take my meds for the migraines(It's not helping!) In the limo there were three other couples and we were joking with each other, it was fun! We made a stop unknown to any of our parents and had photos taken at the local park, we lined up in front of a man made water fall, and on a bridge, we did couple photos and a couple playful ones, we even climbed a tree! yes us ladies did so in dresses! It was a night made in heaven, the food was so good, I swear I ate some of it but I didn't feel so well by the time the dancing started, I felt down right awful. I shook it off and danced with Ray, We even had a switch a roo dance where the guys had to dance with the person to the right, so it was fun dancing with some other boys, one even tried to kiss me! I almost smacked him, but Ray saw it and came over to rescue me. So now the bad, yes it is bad . . . I don't remember what happended except that I was with Ray at the dance. I had a really bad seizure at the dance! Ray told me I stiffened in his arms and had that jerking motions with my arms as I went limp in his arms, then a full blow gran mal they call it. Teachers called a medic and I found myself again in the E.R. Where they tried to stop it with meds that did not work. They gave me some kind of paralictic that paralyzes you, so they had to stick a tube down my throat. I was admitted to the ICU and held for a week. They ran a numbers of tests, all normal. Mom did find a one bedroom apartment, just a block away from the hospital in San Fran, so its official we are moving to San Fran! At the end of the week. BTW Ray was so kind, he visited everyday and the rents snuck him in to see me, I wasn't awake till five days later, talk about a shock to wake up with tubes and wires coming out of everywhere! Ray is still calling but I haven't really been talking to him, I want to but I don't know what to say. Anyway. Some of us gals are going swimsuit shopping, so I'll talk more later. Do not tell anyone!

Conversation between Dara and Ray. *ring* *ring* Ray: "I was starting to worry about you! Are you ok?" Dara: "Yeah, I'm ok, but I still get the migraines, and yes we are still moving by the end of the week, san fran, mom found an apartment about a block from the hospital, she is going to be a nurse supervisor on one of the floors." There is a noticable pause between the two. "So, I called to see if you wanted to get together and maybe see a movie? You pick, I'm sure mom won't mind." Ray: "Wait, your mother would come on our date?" Dara: "No silly, she would pay for us and drive us but she would more then likey go shopping or do something else, our taste in movies don't jive. Is that a yes to getting together for a movie?" Ray: "Yes, of course I want to go, when did you think we could pull this off?" Ray paused looking at his watch wondering when Dara wanted to meet up, he then asked her . . . "So, the doctors still don't know what's going on with you, why your having all these migraines and the seizures?" Dara: Frowning at the thought of having to explain her 'normal' not normal illness "I called you to see if you wanted to get together, I really don't want to talk about the migraines or whatever the h*ll is going on in my fricken head." There is a noticable sigh "Look, I'm sorry Ray, I really don't want to talk about that right now, ok?" She told him holding her breath now hoping that he would understand. Ray: "Hey, I'm sorry I hit a sore spot, I care about you, you do know that, don't you?" He could hear her whisper 'yes' "Good, what time should I be at your house? Maybe we could see that new movie Incredibles 2?" Dara: Giggling "That's a kids movie, but yes, I would love to see it. do you want to plan on being here what about 6? Is that ok?" she said with a wide smile on her face. Ray: "Sure, its a date! See you then? and please know I do care about you and really do hope the doctors can help you soon." Dara: "Thanks, Ray you have always been so kind, I know you care and I am sorry I have been moody of late, it's just frustrating to not know what is going on, maybe I should be on a pych ward or something." Ray: "Hey, you are not that kind of person, the doctors will figure it, it take time. I'll see you later ok?" Dara: "yeah, I hope so, thank you so much! Later!" With that Dara hung up the phone and the stared at it and then placed it on her nightstand. She laid down on her bed and quickly fell asleep.

Dear Diary, It was moving day yesterday. We are in a one bed room apartment, yes, me and mom share a bed room, we have bunk beds, I have the top bunk of course. The place is nice but small and the apartment building has 10 units, so there isn't to much noise or what not. It has a yard, no pool but there is a pool near by. Of course the hospital is only about a block away from here. Ray is so sweet, he came with me to the movies, it was the Incredibles2, Mom paid for our tickets but Ray insisted on getting our drinks and food. I just got a soda and we shared a huge tub of popcorn. It was a good movie and we waited to call mom to pick us up as we just wanted time to talk. Talked some about the migraines and such, he said he's going to miss me, but he will write and call weekly as time gives him. We hugged each other for so long, mom had to tell us enough. I am going to miss him while I am here in San Fran now. Mom starts work next week and I have my first appointment with a nero doctor also. I guess that first appointment is going to be all day, interviews, MRI, CAT scan, blood work and such. Human guinea pig! Mom found an online school for me to go to, since all the appointments and migraines themselves would cause me to miss to much class to graduate. I hope I like these classes. One thing I will like is I can take the laptop outside and not be stuck inside all the time. I asked mom if I can get a pool membership to go swimming and keep in shape, she said she would see if the doctor says I can swim. Anyway. That is all for now. Please Do not tell anyone!

Dear Diary, Well I had two days in the hospital being tested, poked, proded and such. From what I have been told everything looks normal. The doctors have to go over the results but so far from what Sandy and Kristen have told me . . . I'm normal. Hopefully, things will get better and me and mom can move back home with dad and Kara. I miss Kara and her riding and her poking me to ride her horse. I wonder what they are doing now? I tried calling the house before but the line was busy, dad must be doing dictation to the medical scribe. Anyway, I did make a new friend, her name is Kristen she is a medical tech at the hospital, she stayed at my side almost the whole time. She is funny and witty and very nice. I feel like she knows me already. I hope I see her again when I go back to the hospital, yet again for more testing. These tests will be a sleeping test for 24 hours, some of the that they are going to sedate me, then they are going to have me stay awake until I can't stay awake any more all while hooked up to all those wires on my head and some on my chest. I feel like I am a lab rat. I bet all these tests will come up normal like everything else. Well, I'll let you go, I have to go. Please don't tell anyone!
