WHO YOU SEE
THE FACE I WEAR Hair: Black - occasionally brightly colors Skin: Olive Eyes: Grey/Green Attire: The one sitting at the bar that just spells trouble? The kid in your high school class that always sat in the back and slept half the time to their jamming music? The chick on the street corner shoving a street artist back to show them what real dancing looks like? That's Cory. If anything, she's trendy as all hell when it comes to the rock genre. Studs, leather, ripped jeans, belts, Chuck Taylor's, and more. She's always got one popping, vivid color on in her ensemble whatever the occasion. When out running, she's usually seen in athletic clothes or lounging about in a t-shirt with some funny quip across the chest. She's a matching fiend from head to toe when it comes to going out on the town. Shoes, accessories, even her damn headphones for the set to hang around her neck when in need of 'emergency tunes' is fit to the appropriate outfit she's built. At home, though, it's baggy basketball shorts and wife-beaters all day, everyday. | GENERAL Cory's mother, Hannah, is 3/4ths Native Lakota Indian, making her daughter slightly less than half while the rest is Caucasian. Her hair is always cut short and changes color often. From her favorite pure black to dark browns with highlights or sometimes even crazy, unconventional colors. Her grey/green eyes contrast with her tanned skin that deepens well in the summer and turns a light olive in the winter months. Cory dons various eye-popping tattoos over her entire body; most notable is the full sleeve along her left arm. Though standing at an average height with a thin, boyish form, she's also very toned from her gymnastics work and overall active lifestyle. She carries herself with calm confidence that says 'Don't start none, won't be none'. |

[PTab=PERSONAL]
WHO I AM
PERSONALITY
Above all, Coryelle is a good kid that's just made some bad decisions. While she may not have excelled in school because of her lack of drive, she really is a smart cookie and has a childish wisdom beyond her years and the cynicism of others. She's been blessed with a loving, caring, and involved mother who taught her all the right stuff a good parent should; treat others as you'd want to be treated, stranger danger, always be yourself, etc. She's been raised without practiced selfishness and dishonesty and strives for their opposites as much as her personality comfortably allows (though she'll pretend to be some cold badass.. when really she's a teddy bear).
Though not particularly outgoing upon first meeting, Cory is the usual a joke-cracker among friends - playing little pranks, teasing, and the like. She has a certain adoration for tattoos and crazy hairdos as they make personally make her feel more 'tough'. She doesn't believe in judgement much and it's never come naturally to her like it has the rest of the world.
Cory enjoys busying herself with rather shallow and mindless hobbies like video games, Netflix, smoking, and going on bike rides to visit her mother. Though she rarely gets out, Cory does enjoy to pass on some small flirts to any girl she finds pretty. She has confused and entangled her security with women and fear of men into a molding of her sexual identity which causes her to never have more than a mere 'crush' on anyone. She's never felt deeply romantic or even thought about the idea of romance with another woman.
She knows the city and its streets very well thanks to her job as a dealer and is big into 'stick it to the man!' even though her only real contribution to society is pissing off/evading authorities and getting people who get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time by the cops out of sticky situations. Cory hasn't used her 'gift' for anything else yet... her true potential lies in her Runner skills.
QUIRKS:
Her likes include: sweet treats (lollipops, rice crispies, etc), smoking pot, playing video games/lounging, gymnastics, sleeping, her mother, secretly: baking, animals/rescue foundations. Her dislikes include: flirty men, people who think 'no' means 'yes', mornings, naturally violent people, romance movies/novels, country music, politics of any kind. Some habits of hers are drumming fingers to music in her head and eating snack food at inappropriate times.
Her fears include: frequent nightmares of her attacker, general discomfort of larger men/flirtatious men, discomfort/fear of romance. She enjoys shallow relationships, but has a fear of deeply caring for anyone. One secret of hers is that she bakes at home with an apron, mittens, and everything. Cute little cupcakes.
HISTORY
Year 00: Hannah Lee Wilde, a nurse at a hospital in San Francisco, walks home from her late-night shift the same as she has for years and is ambushed by a bloodthirsty, unstable man. Her clothes are torn from her, she is hit, her belongings are taken, and she is taken advantage of. The man leaves after his fill and a co-worker stumbles upon her. She is taken back to the hospital for treatment and recovery.
Year 01: Hannah Lee Wilde has made a full recovery and, three months after the attack, discovers she is with her attacker's child. With moral obligation and dedicated attachment to the life now growing inside of her, she carries the unplanned child rather than aborting and gives birth to keep it and raise it at her own. Another five and a half months pass and a healthy baby girl is born - dubbed Coryelle Bree Wilde.
Year 02: Hannah Lee Wilde receives assistance in watching the child from her supervisor, Bradly Duncan, PhD, who also delivered Cory and helped in Hannah's recovery. Miss Wilde moves from the center of downtown San-Fran to the edge of the city into a safe neighborhood.
Year 05: Coryelle Bree Wilde begins school like any normal child. She is raised with unconditional love alongside her mother and 'Uncle Brad'.
Year 06: Hannah introduces her child to sports to get her involved into extra curricular activities. Coryelle takes a liking to gymnastics and begins taking lessons every other morning.
Year 09: Coryelle grows healthy and happy, playing with neighborhood friends under her mother's watchful eye. Her gymnastics become more than a hobby and she begins more advanced training under the recommendation of her coach. She is praised for her flexibility, balance, and attention to small detail.
Year 10: Coryelle begins competing in gymnastics and bringing home little medals and trophies. This only strengthens the mother-daughter relationship with road trips and her love for gymnastics.
Year 11: In a rare and horribly unfortunate turn of events, a familiar attacker finds his way into a further neighborhood on the edge of the city.. the same one in which the Wildes' reside. The man was not just a one-time attacker and Hannah had not been his first victim. One of the serial variety, the man had stalked and found their new home. He researches further into the windows to see the Hannah sleeping calmly. Healthy, happy, with a nice house. This angers him, and so he breaks into the home. While walking down the hall he's caught by the nightlight shining through Coryelle's room. After putting two-and-two together, he decides against going to Hannah and instead enters the child's room; shutting the door behind him.
(This content may not be suitable for relating parties and those sensitive to the subject. Graphic detail is not involved).
To keep the girl quiet, the man grabs harshly onto her throat. She is unable to call for help and is taken rough and violent advantage of by the larger, stronger man. Plenty is said, plenty is done, and Coryelle struggles to breathe and remain conscious. Nearly thirty minutes into the attack, the man finally slows down from the buzzing of his phone in his back pocket. Coryelle sees only dazzling lights from the rush of blood to her head and the black form of his outline moving off of her. When she shakily yelled for her mother, the man stumbled to out of Coryelle's window and fled. Coryelle curls under her blanket, silently crying for Hannah, and remains there as the woman rushes to her room with police on the phone.
Reports filed of the incident note that Coryelle Bree Wilde was taken immediately to the emergency room with blood trauma to the head from strangling and a diagnosis of being infertile in the future due to the roughness of the attack. The man - quite experienced at covering his trail - was never found.

The man - quite experienced at covering his trail - was never found.
Year 12: Coryelle's mental and physical recovery slowly proves promising and healthy. Though she suffers heavily from nightmares, she still seems to get enough sleep. Through the first year her weight becomes a health concern but gradually increases the more therapy she receives.
Year 14: Coryelle begins high school and adult gymnastics training, making high school's team her freshman year. She makes it a point to stay in the 'background' socially so as to not end up in the undesirable category against the popular and rich students. Under the radar. She begins to show signs of her gift on her mother's side of the family and is instructed by Hannah about the necessary secrecy that comes with it - but also encourages her to learn more about it in safe, unseen areas.
Year 15: Coryelle exceeds in gymnastics and her passion becomes a zeal. Gold medal after gold medal hangs on her wall. Soon, she confesses to her mother that she adores gymnastics but despises her team - that she hardly every speaks to - for continually antagonizing her in the locker room about her hair, the way she dresses, and her lack of any interest in men. Not only that.. but she feels horribly guilty for having a physical 'edge' that others don't. It seems unfair. Her mother is saddened, but allows Coryelle to quit.
Year 16: Without any extra-curricular activities to sate her appetite for involvement and happiness, Coryelle's grades begin to fall. She sleeps in class, gets into little fights, and begins to feel 'dumb' - which only encourages the vicious cycle of not trying in school.
Year 18: Coryelle graduates from high school with a C average thanks to her mother's support and help with schoolwork at home. She understands her daughter's struggle rather than scolding her for her 'failures' (so say teachers). Entering the final stages of female maturity, her gift begins to climax in power; tightening her thin muscles and sharpening the senses of touch, sight, and sound to hone a higher level of equilibrium and quicker reflexes. She'd never run so fast in her life, never jumped so far or flipped so high. Her mother and 'uncle' kept close tabs on her in the hospital until all the tests showed no signs of any negative side effects. Quite the opposite. Her skills and history of gymnastics coupled with the gift had turned her into a free-flowing and incredibly talented Runner (parkour).
Year 20-23: Coryelle moves out to her own crappy apartment with her ferret named Nugget - assuring her mother it'll be alright since it's close by. She feels it necessary to move in order to get a job and help support her mother. Though she's gotten work as a lowly weed dealer, she informs her mother that she works at an animal shelter (which she volunteers at, but does not get paid). Coryelle believes she doesn't have enough education to get a better job, that she is far too 'scary' to be hired as a childrens' gymnastics coach (her dream job), and needs the money to pay to live on her own.

[PTab=POWER]
MORE TO ME THAN MEETS THE EYE
ABILITY
ENHANCED ATHLETICISM:
Cory's enhanced athleticism allows her to have heightened strength, speed, and stamina – far more than the average person. Acrobatics is also a part of this. Feats that she's already accomplished in gymnastics such as running up steep surfaces, picking up heavy weights, and stringing together flawless flips and turns have only improved that much more.
Coryelle's athletics shine in her ability to free run. Though her enhancements have made her stronger, it's heavily increased her speed and sense of balance/reflexes. Leaping rooftops, climbing through fire escapes.. Fighting hasn't been and will never be her strongest suit; but if you need something to get from Point A to Point B real quick, she's your gal. Good luck to those of you wanting to catch up to her!
BONE DENSITY:
Shit gets real when you're jumping from building to building and punching armored thugs in the face. If you're strong, better have the bones to back it up or you're toast! Cory's mind can send signals to the replication centers of her bone structure's cells to build additional layers that are especially dense and strong, as well as spread extra amounts of calcium throughout the skeleton to gradually fill pores within the bones, making them even more durable and that much harder to break.
LIMITS
ENHANCED ATHLETICISM:
Though she can't dead-lift a truck, she can definitely dead-lift up a motorcycle. In the future or on rare occasion with massive amounts of adrenaline, she might be able to push herself enough to lift a full sedan above her head. Cory can clear building rooftops with ease when at a sprint, keep up with cars on the interstate, and can run for very long distances at moderate speed (marathons).
BONE DENSITY:
Just because her bones are harder to break doesn't mean they can't be broken. Simply put, it approximately takes 2-3x more pressure to break a bone for her than an average human of the same size/weight. This ability does not effect her skin or eyes - solely her skeletal structure.
WEAKNESSES
Cory is all things mortal. She can get sick, diseased, and disoriented by the senses. She can get cut, punctured, concussed, and can bleed just like anyone else. Because of the heavy and speedy blood-flow in her muscles, a good way to keep her in-check is to keep her ice cold. Bundled up in the winter is nothing, but stick her in a meat locker with jeans and a t-shirt and her speed will continue to drop.
