❝ Pretty woman, walkin' down the street❞
Sophia hadn't been to LA in a while, not since she'd last visited the Louver in 2014 to pick up a few choice pieces, most particularly David Hockney's 'The Arrival of Spring'. It still had pride of place on her living room wall, though she was thinking about shifting some paintings around, maybe adding a few new ones to her collection.
She had come to the city for an audition her agent had booked, but the whole thing had been just so boring that Sophia hadn't really put in her best effort. The role would go to someone else no doubt, but the whole boring thing had at least done one thing for her.
It had given her an excuse to go and visit a friend.
*** Sophia Blood hated waiting at doors, but Sophia Hewitt was well mannered, proud and law abiding, so she couldn't go through the window. Ordinarily that would have been an irritant, but thankfully the person she was visiting had a bad habit of leaving doors unlocked. Sophia pushed the door to the apartment open - honestly, what would happen if someone unscrupulous were to come by - and strode into the living room.
"Francine darling, I've come to visit," she called, tone light. "I brought some absolutely gorgeous chocolates, so you'll have to come here quickly or there'll be none left."
She probably should've called ahead to let Frankie know she was coming, but what was life without a little surprise to spice things up?

The good thing about living in one of these nice high-rise apartments was the security. Nobody who didn't need to be in the building ever was, and so most of the time Francine was home she left her door unlocked just in case she got any visitors. Another benefit was the nice, wide bedroom window offered a great exit point for her super heroics, but that sometimes meant she went soaring off without remembering to lock her door back. It was a nice apartment, separate living room and kitchen and a bedroom to the side for what was (to her semi-wealthy sensibilities) a reasonable price. It was furnished mostly in light browns with orange accents, her favorite color, and she was just returning from a quick bit of super heroing when she heard a knock on the apartment door.
Francine was good at changing in to and out of costumes quickly thanks to her film career, so she was back in her normal outfit of the day just in time for a familiar voice to ring out to her from the living room. She took a second to straighten her hair and grab a magazine off of her bookshelf before stepping out to meet her guest. She'd met Sophia Hewitt working together on a movie several years back, and they'd stayed in touch intermittently since then. She'd have called the other woman a friend despite that and so Francine had a grin on her face despite the blatant breaking and entering.
"Sophia, hey! I wasn't expecting you to stop by, what are you doing in LA?" She asked cheerfully, even though she knew that the other woman was probably here for an audition before going home to San Francisco. She didn't think a hug was totally called for, but she gestured to the plush couch and had a seat herself. "How have you been? I haven't seen you since... Which one was it, Impostor?"

❝ Pretty woman, walkin' down the street❞
Sophia smiled at the younger woman, taking a seat on the couch and leaning back. "I've been getting along just fine darling, enough work to keep me busy."
"I had an audition for some new superhero film in LA," she flicked a hand out in a disdainful manner. "You'd think the real heroes flying around would be rather more interesting, but my agent insisted. Honestly Frankie, it was so boring, I have more fun getting dressed than I had in that audition." The complaints were delivered in an airy tone, carefully chosen to avoid the appearance of whining. Sophia Hewitt had standards after all, even if Sophia would've quite happily moaned about it all day long.
"Anyway, once I'd done that I remembered that you were living in LA and thought I'd drop by for a chat. Impostor was the last time we actually saw each other after all, and that was years ago. It would be cruel to deprive you of my magnificence any longer." Sophia smiled brightly, blinking wide, innocent eyes at Frankie for a few moments before she broke down into giggles.
"Where are my manners? How have you been Frankie? Any new projects? A new boyfriend?" She winked. "A girlfriend?"

A super hero movie? Ha! Francine giggled as she sat down on her plush sofa, trying to see Hewitt in a super hero costume and failing. Her roles were always much more refined than that; she'd be the villainess in a spy movie or something but a costumed super hero? Nah.
"Yeah I know, but I guess it's not really a surprise that they're big now. I mean, REAL super heroes are showing up now, like Nova and Paladin and Doc Holliday, it's like living in a comic book! But I guess they'd all be too busy to devote their time to a movie shoot, they probably wouldn't get anything done," Frankie conceded, shrugging her shoulders. Was it a bad thing that she still found the time for her day job of acting? Ever since her powers had come in to their own so long as she was exposed to the sun she didn't really get tired, she could run from one side of the city to the next and still be ready for more. But the rest of them, they needed to sleep just like anybody else. "How long do you think it'll be before we start getting authentic super hero TV and movies? I'd so watch a TV show about Paladin, she's super cool. Have to get used to living in front of a green screen though..."
Francine paused to flick through her magazine, coming on a page where she stood with the cast of her upcoming television project to show it off. She beamed proudly over it, passing Sophia the magazine to look at. "My next gig is here, it's this show called The Concierge, it's getting pretty popular and its a good show from what I watched. I'm playing a character for their second season, but they haven't given me all the details. It's not the biggest role but the director has some real connections, if I make a good impression he might recommend me to something really hot, y'know? I'm excited for it though, I've worked with a lot of the actors there before. The lead guy's kind of an asshole but lucky me, I don't really have to deal with him. How about you, you got anything else lined up? I know I caught you in that rom-com last year, I heard it did pretty well. Trying to avoid that typecast, huh? I know I keep getting 'fiery red head love interest' but I dunno, I kinda wanna try a villain role on every now and again..."[/color] Francine rambled on, proud of her increasing public presence. It was just too bad that her alter ego was so much more popular... even if in costume she could shoot laser beams and fly.
