ATTIRE[break][break]
Whether shaped by assumption or challenging it, Rebecca tends to dress in dark colors with a comfortable fit that are usually on the cheaper side. Normally she leaves her hair down, and always covers herself completely from the tips of her fingers down to her toes, leaving only her neck and face exposed. Her clothes are always made of synthetic fabrics and other materials. She can tweak her clothes as she sees fit, but there's little room in her closet (or her budget) for fancy or name brand items.

GENERAL[break][break]
Pale and thin, Rebecca stands at an impressive 5'3” and looks like she's seen better days. There's a weariness to her eyes that suggests she's waiting for the other shoe to drop, and. She usually ignores the idea of makeup and wears her hair loose, coming across as clean but not caring about if she meets someone's approval. Though she carries herself with her shoulders back, it looks more like she's walking on eggshells .

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]PERSONALITY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Keeping others at a distance is second nature to Rebecca. She would prefer to avoid crowds or large groups entirely if possible, and often stays to herself without holding eye contact to discourage people taking an interest when they're not wanted. When she does work with people, she tends to be blunt, and her sarcasm comes easily to her, as both a defense and sense of humor. While lying isn't a foreign concept to her, Rebecca is a terrible liar and she knows it. She values honesty, even if the truth hurts.
[break][break]
With the existence of the internet, she has a few online friends, but she tends to be awkward in public with the concept of people being accepting after so long, and tends to worry now that people may take a different kind of interest. Her temper's quick to flare and burn out, a storm that rushes in and blows over before it can build up its full momentum. Those who can get on her good side can find gruff affection from her.
[break][break]
For all her rough edges, Rebecca does want the best for the people and world around her, even if she doesn't believe that everyone deserves it. She doesn't believe that true peace can be achieved where everyone can be one hundred percent happy, but there has to be a better future if they're willing to work for it. She'll do what she can for someone in need, coming off at worst as moody and considering the person barely worth her time and, at best, a hardened reality check who can offer insight into a problem with a few barbs along the way.

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]HISTORY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
A long time ago, in a run-down home not so far away, Rebecca was raised by her parents in a poor neighborhood. Life was going as smoothly as possible, even if there were some months that they weren't sure if they'd be able to keep all the bills paid and utilities on. Working together was the only way to make it, picking up odd jobs, selling what they had, and teaching her the value of family above everything else. Material wealth was for other people, other places, but they didn't need it to be harpy.
The bubble broke when Rebecca was six, her mother went into rehab, only to leave shortly after completing the program. Father and daughter created a life for themselves, but all the unanswered questions stayed with them. Bullies who taunted her for her appearance began using the fact that her family had been pulled apart as new bait, and more often than not would end in someone getting hurt. She was closeted away when her powers, missing several months of school after they developed and a bully that cornered her lost an arm when they pushed her to panic.
[break][break]
The issue drew the attention of the Families, people who knew how to find her despite her father moving them to another city to start over. Trial and error tought her how to take up as little space as possible, to be home-schooled, and to know that there were other people like her in the world. But in a place where people seemed immortal, or had powers that could help, her own ability was something she learned to fear. Fully covered, she still worried about someone touching her accidentally, about a the fabric slipping and something going wrong.
[break][break]
Though she gained a BGA studying biology and the human body in particular, she wanted something more. There had to be something useful she could do with her power, or despite it, maybe even something good. The idea of vigilantism took hold, but the need to keep her identity secret as well as her powers held her back. The idea of making a difference, of being someone seemed like it could have been more than just living in fear.
[break][break]
Now she's just trying to live her life, to make something of it, but as Heroes are made and brought to light, and even endorsed by the government. When The Event happened, others like her seemed to pop up everywhere, and Rebecca gained hope. She stil can't help but wonder if maybe this world-wide change might open new doors she didn't even know existed before.

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]POWER
[attr="class","hopelovetop"][attr="class","hopelovesub"]
ABILITY[break][break]
Rebecca's full cover isn't just for show; she has the ability to decay any organic matter with a touch. It's a passive ability that requires skin contact from her that will cause a rapid breakdown of whatever of whoever she's touching. It starts the moment of contact and spreads. While some materials decay quickly, such as paper or a flower stem, complicated matter such as a person or animal requires more time (the average human takes about thirty minutes of consistent contact for their body to fully decay). Her powers do not work on her own body.
[break][break]
LIMITS[break][break]
The decaying touch is limited by range and the type of material she's touching. Rebecca's ability will not work against synthetic material – plastic covering could protect exposed wire, or a polyester blend can stop her from destroying clothes or rotting through it to get to what's underneath. She's also physically required to touch the subject: her hair, blood, spit won't cause any damage.
[break][break]
WEAKNESSES[break][break]
Rebecca's power does not have an “off” switch. This has lead to her accidentally injuring others, some who don't forget. She's learned to live off of shakes and supplements, allowing her to survive but with a weakened immune system since everything she eats is rotted by the time it hits her stomach. She has less than average strength because of it, is more likely to get sick, and drugs like pain medication don't affect her at all.
[break][break]
While she's learned a minimal amount of control with how quickly the decay happens, it requires her full focus to make a difference. Distractions can lead to disasters, and the rate of her ability speeds up dramatically if she's under stress or emotions are running high, leading to possible dangers to herself or others if she panics, is angered, or running off of fear.
