It was Kiva's first day at the school, they showed her a room that she would be able to use and she requested some mirrors and to make some ballet bars. With that finished she stayed in the room and did some of her stretches and worked on her splits. Getting older did not mean you could let up on taking care of ones body and Kiva clearly worked hard at keeping her body in shape.
After that she sat in the corner of the room and wrote down her syllabus for the head of school and the other things she would need for the class such as leo's, tights, ballet slippers for boys and girls, the clothing to fit each pupil. The girls could order their own point shoes and warm ups.
She made a notice to each student outlining the class and what she expected from the students.
* come to class in your leos and tights, warm ups may be worn for stretches.
* Boys wear a crisp white t-shirt, black tights and black ballet slippers.
* Girls wear a black leo, white tights with pink ballet slippers and a pastel color skirt. Long hair needs to be placed into a classic ballet bun with a hairnet.
* No jewelery is to be worn in class, no make up and no cell phones.
* Come to class ready to learn.
* No talking during class.
* Each class is two hours with warm up and cool down periods, there is a 10 min break mid way through.
* Water bottles (Only plastic) are to be lined up on one wall, you must have your name on your bottle.
* Students who are disruptive will be asked to leave, if you do get asked to leave you will have to make up that class you missed.
* Extra class times can be arranged if you want.
* There will be two shows that all students will be in and is mandatory.(A Nutcracker and a spring show)
* Have fun and remember to smile!
Once done she went and made copies to hand to each student for their own reading.
When she came back to the room there was workman putting up the mirrors and making ballet bares out of pipes.
With everything coming along she smiled as she completed her paperwork, she was looking forward to teaching here.
