"Any suggestions on how to go about that?" Raven wasn't exactly asking for Sonnet to be the one to help her out. Asking for help wasn't really something she liked doing amongst many things. Even her being pointed in the right direction would be helpful enough for her.
"One place is as good as another to me. If it wasn't here, then it might've been elsewhere instead." She commented with a slight shrug of her shoulders. "As it's been pointed out, I do move about a lot." She clarified. When it came to where she ended up there was no real pattern to her travels. On occasion it was purely out of curiosity, while others was just due to places she wanted to go at least once in her life. She wasn't even really sure herself what drew her to New York.
"Besides if I'm going to be causing trouble one way or another, then it helps to know what works around here. Well other than the obvious." She ended up grinning at Sonnet.

Shortcut My childhood spat back out the monster that you see | "Simple, don't be an idiot."
Realising that wasn't exactly helpful advice, she continued, "Don't flash your powers. There's no law against it exactly, but the cops haven't exactly been quick to track down those responsible when metas are attacked. You won't find many friends here if you're showing off what you can do."
That should have been clear enough. Unless the girl was actually indestructible she would be risking more than she could handle. As far as Sonnet knew no one was indestructible, not even Tank or Paladin, and they were regarded as two of the toughest metahumans in the United States.
"That and if you cause enough trouble you'll bring the Heroes down on you, and trust me you don't want that, no matter how tough or strong you are."

Raven rose an eyebrow then scoffed at Sonnet telling her not to be an idiot. "Great advice you got there." She stated more in a good humoured way.
She grinned as Sonnet went into a slightly more detailed explanation, her expression slowly turning into a more thoughtful one. Her actually taking note of how metas were currently being regarded and treated. Now she thought about it, there was a distinct difference between other places she had been. That in a sense made it more of a challenge to deal with. Now that was something she thought she would be able to deal with.
"Okay, I think I can deal with that." She gave a brief nod.
"Can't say I've really dealt with many of these so called Heroes. Though that could just be down to me not hanging around for long." She gave Sonnet a look of curiosity. "Any in particular you'd say to watch out for?" She now asked her. The more information she got the better.

Shortcut My childhood spat back out the monster that you see | The Heroes were so much a part of society now that it was something of a surprise to meet someone who had almost no knowledge of them. Less than a step out the door and they'd be able to see the gleaming white smile of Paladin on a poster across the street. Images of Glacia adorned city buses. There were fan sites dedicated to them. They were everywhere.
"Honestly? All of them."
Sonnet had gone toe to toe with several of New York's own Heroes. She'd put one of them in the hospital, then almost been put there herself by one a month later. She'd learned the hard way the cost of her arrogance, her confidence in her abilities.
"You should definitely avoid Tank though, he has very little patience for people like us. He has the highest kill rate of any Hero that I know of."

Raven chuckled slightly under her breath, really she should have expected that response from Sonnet. Despite not really knowing the woman it just struck her as something she would say. "Guess I should've expected that. Who really wants to deal with a Hero." She commented with a brief wave of her hand.
As Sonnet then told her about one particular Hero, she ended up leaning forward a little. More from curiosity now. "A high kill rate eh? Sounds like the guy is more like us than an actual Hero." She remarked. She was somewhat intrigued by that notion. Although she wouldn't say it, it was exactly the type of person that she would love to mess about with. To see just how far she could push to make them break.
"Take it this, Tank, is one you have a personal experience with." She casually leaned back once more.

Shortcut My childhood spat back out the monster that you see | The shorter woman carefully ignored the comment about working with Heroes. After all, Sonnet had rather more connections with them than she cared to admit, or in truth, wanted. Interestingly enough though, Raven was interested by the idea of a Hero that had no qualms about killing. That in itself was a concern. If it came down to it Sonnet would not be coming down on the woman's side in such a conflict.
"I work here, of course I have experience of him."
Rather more personal experience than she would admit to. She'd fought him, and fed him information, but nothing that would harm her own business interests. "And he is nothing like us."
Certainly not if Raven was really here looking for trouble. Tank didn't go looking for trouble, trouble went looking for him.

Raven rose an eyebrow slightly at Sonnet's somewhat abrupt answer. "Uh-huh." She uttered, in a manner in which more or less meant that she didn't exactly believe her. However she decided to let it drop. Even if she was still very much curious on the history there.
She grabbed a napkin and ran it over her hands, even if she had long since stopped touching the fries there was still that minor hint of grease that she wanted rid of.
"So what's the best way to be in contact then?" She figured she might as well find out, particularly if there was any targets in mind that needed taking care of.

Shortcut My childhood spat back out the monster that you see | Seeing that Rina had lost interest in her fries, Sonnet reached across the table and pulled the paper bag towards herself. They were cold, but they were calories, so after sprinkling them heavily with salt, she started eating them too. There was no real sense of enjoyment in it anymore, now it was more of a mechanical operation. She certainly didn't show any signs of suffering from the two greasy burgers and the packs of fries she had demolished.
Cleaning off her fingers with a paper napkin, she pulled a plastic phone from her pocket. The cheap kind drug dealers used as a burner phone. Flipping it open, she slid the plastic device across the table to the British woman. "Go ahead and put your number in there, we can sort something out from there."

Seeing Sonnet taking the remains of the discarded fries Raven wasn't all that bothered. It didn't seem that the woman was the unfortunate type that gained weight just by what felt like looking at food. In a way she wouldn't have minded being like that. But alas she was destined to always watch her intake.
As a phone was pushed her way she picked it up and grinned slightly. "Gotta love the existence of disposable phones. Makes certain activities so much easier." She chuckled under her breath. She wasn't a stranger to it. Her own mobile was the same. Basic, and less of a pain when she accidentally broke them. She promptly put in the number before sliding it back over.
"I guess I'll be awaiting your call." She spoke as she got back onto her feet. She paused for a moment, just in case Sonnet wanted to shake hands or something in those lines.

Shortcut My childhood spat back out the monster that you see | Sonnet flipped the phone neatly back into her pocket, she had a small collection of them, in case one was lost, or she had to burn that particular contact. It was the purpose of such devices after all. Bought in cash, paid in cash, they were virtually untraceable and made her more illicit activities, which was to say most of them, possible.
Hopefully this woman would prove to have more power than she appeared to. Even more hopefully she would prove to be controllable, although that often backfired in this case. It wasn't so long ago that Sonnet had connected with another dangerous woman, used her to do her bidding, then seen her take on a Hero in New York. That had been nothing to do with Sonnet, but she'd had to sever her connections pretty sharply. She didn't want her superior knowing about her connection to such a public embarrassment.
"How long are you staying in New York?"
Sonnet had gotten the impression that the woman moved around a lot, if not because she caused trouble than because she had a wanderlust. Some people just gave off the air that they couldn't be kept in one place for long.

At the question Raven paused, and seemed to ponder the question. That was a pretty good question. Just how long was she planning on staying about. Truthfully she didn't know. Staying in one place was a little alien to her. Other than up to her early teens she had been almost constantly on the move. Never staying around more than a few months. It hadn't always been down to her law breaking side either. Being somewhere for too long unless there was just cause made her a little jumpy. Granted back in her home country some of that had been down to fear of being found.
"For the moment I'll be around. Maybe a month or two. I'll see how it goes." Came her eventual answer.
There was always the possibility that Sonnet could keep her occupied enough to keep her attention. Granted it didn't mean that she wouldn't disappear for a day or two. Her flight made easy workings of urges to be elsewhere.
"Just give me a shout when you want me for something. Even if I'm elsewhere I can get back easy enough." She admitted.
