She is a loner by heart usually preferring the company of herself, though she will mingle with others as long as it's a small group. Though she claims to not care about anyone other than herself she will on occasion listen to her cold heart.

Due to her upbringing she has severe trust issues. She is always looking for the bad side of people and trying to bring it out. This doesn't mean that she doesn't have a vulnerable side, she can also be empathic when it comes to others with similar bad backgrounds.

Raven didn't have the most ideal childhood. The man that brought her up as his daughter wasn't truly her father, she was in fact the result of an affair that her mother had with another man. A man who had promised her mother that he would help leave her abusive husband. Alas this was not to be the case. Instead he abandoned her mother shortly after she was born. When it was clear that she was not his daughter her step father took his rage out her from a young child. Her mother, feeling guilty of the betrayal allowed the abuse to occur and cut off any maternal instincts from her daughter, and instead poured her attention onto her older son.

As Raven grew older she realised the abuse she got at home wasn't normal for a child. But by this time she was already blossoming into a young woman. Finally she decided to leave home at the age of sixteen. Since she grew up in England, it was common for some to leave home that young. But the damage had been done though, the mental and physical abuse left her unstable.

She took almost instantly to petty theft while she lived on the streets in order to survive. By mistake she killed a man that she was mugging via a brick which was nearby, which put her on a road to more crime. All the while she drifted, never staying in one place for too long, her gradually making her way round the small country that she lived in. She ended up in prison on more than once occasion, serving several months at a time.

At the time that The Event happened she was serving yet another term for GBH when her abilities manifested. During an argument with another prisoner she inadvertently ripped the door off a cell. This quickly helped her to make an escape, an easy feat once she realised that no door or wall could stand in her way. It was shortly after that she realised strength wasn't the only thing that was different about her. Once outside and on the run she simply thought that it would be so much easier if she could fly. Much to her amazement she found herself flying up into the sky. It was difficult at first, but she soon realised that whatever she thought in regards to flying that she could do it. If she thought about twirling in the sky, then she would twirl.

With her new found abilities she chose to leave the small island, her testing out her flight as she went. Her finding it easy to travel from country to country. The downside being that she struggled to control her strength, something she eventually started to understand. There unfortunately for some people she came into contact with became a victim of whether she intended it or not. Whilst she was touring Europe she met an older man in his early thirties who had also been affected by the event that attempted to be her protector. It turned out she needed no protecting. It was during that time that she was dubbed Raven by him, due to her appearance and her darkening behaviour. Her companion was not to last, just as she was getting closer to him he announced that he was moving on. This in turn brought out a rage that had her turn on him instead. This experience just added to her growing mistrust.

Even a simple thing of picking up a glass and closing a door means concentration in the form of using the lightest of touches. While she is able to pick up something like a large family car without any trouble. This is accomplished through a means of touch telekinesis which is permanently there, though Raven herself isn't aware of the connection.

Flight : Raven is able to fly also via telekinesis. She can fly pretty high since her lungs are able to withstand thinning oxygen at great heights, while her eyes are able to withstand strong winds.

The most she is able to lift is around 5 tons, which is just shy over 10,000lbs. Which is about the equivalent of two SUV’s stacked together.

Negative and stronger emotions cause it to become unstable, causing simple everyday actions to become destructible. The closing of a door becomes a slam. The picking up of a glass means it's shattered. She must become calm again, or rendered unconscious to regain control.
