Kiva had met a young man at one of the shops in Washington. He asked her out and she excepted. They went to a restaurant and had a wonderful time. This young man, named Gus Angel, yes that's his last name and he gets a ton of ribbing for it. He's taller then Kiva and has strawberry blonde hair, fair skin with tons of freckles another thing he gets ribbed about 'one day we have to count them'. He has a well mannered demeanor that Tiva loves and his voice is soft and hypnotic.
Kiva never thought she would fall for a guy and enjoys his presence so much that the two quickly became 'a thing'. Kiva loved that he worked with trouble youth at Washington's juvenile offender program. It was like Kiva and working with young META's even though she would only tell him she worked at a privet school for youth, she asked him to forgive her for not telling him where she worked because of the type of youth she was working with. He didn't mind, he knew himself the hazards of privacy issues when it came with working with young people.
It seemed like this relationship was made in heaven, and Kiva could only hope that her sister Kara would approve of this young man she was falling deeply in love with.
There second 'date' she was the one that took him out to a local ballet show and a light dinner in one of the newer 'vegan' restaurants. He approved and closed the second date with a very long and passionate kiss. It was Kivas first kiss ever in her life. Of course other then the family pecks on the cheek from her mother and father. However this kiss, sent little fireworks between the two.
Gus told her that he would take her out next and they could go for a weekend hike in one of the state parks and maybe even a little 'overnight' hiking. She liked the idea and left him giving him another kiss before waving good bye as she drove back to the school.

Gus had called to ask if Kiva wanted to go out for the weekend on that weekend hike/ camping trip. Kiva accepted Gus's offer and they also went out that night for a walk in the park and ice cream after. Kiva loved how kind he was, he was thoughtful and full of compassion. Everything one could want in a man.
Gus would drop her off this time and told her to pack comfortable clothes for the weekend, everything else was taken care of and don't forget the good sneakers for the five mile hike into the camp site. He promised it would be the best weekend of her life.
Gus picked her up from school and drove to the mountain they were going to hike. He gave her a pack to carry up and put on his own pack that seemed twice the size of hers, of course he was carrying most of the gear.
It took about an hour and half to climb the mountain, once up they just sat at the edge of a lake and watched the water. Gus would do small talk about this and that and he didn't stop looking into Kiva's eyes. He went into a pocket and took a small box out, he got down on one knee and asked Kiva to marry him. Kiva was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do or say. Gus went up to her and put the ring gently on her finger. Kiva sat there looking at him, speechless.
"Gus?" Kiva was at a loss for words. "Just say, 'yes'" Gus said. "No, I mean I don't know, this is so sudden." She said "Do you love me?" Gus asked "Of course I do, but . . ." She said. "No butts here." Gus teased. "Gus?" She said. "What is it my lovey rose?" Gus told her giving her a kiss on the forehead
Pulling the ring off her finger and putting in his hand, Kiva with tears in her eyes told him she could not marry him, not yet. Its so sudden she wasn't ready.
Gus looking into her eyes put the ring back on hers, "You don't have to marry me now, I am just asking you to marry me, when your ready, is that a deal?" Gus asked giving her another peck on the forehead holding her hands in his.
Kiva lowered her head and then looked into his eyes, there was a long silence.
"Yes!, yes I will marry you!" Kiva told him.
