"Ahh, just because I don't have . . ." using air quotes with her fingers " . . . Plumbing, does not mean I can't do that, there are diapers, self contained and neater then that baby potty that the guy used." Ivy said with now a renewed interest in the idea.
When Ed started to proclaim that he was a mermaid hero, Ivy laughed. She was happy that he could have a corner on the market of mermaid rescue. "You also carry the drinks next time, I am to clumsy as you saw." Ivy teased as the pair made their way back to the building.
"No you did not plan any exciting and yet, something exciting did happen and you can to the rescue in perfect form, Unlike me who flopped on the ground like, what? a fish out of water!" Ivy had to laugh at her own comment.
"Well, see you at lunch tomorrow? You can carry the drinks?" Ivy asked innocently enough with a slight smile, looking at him.

| @ivyannnelson | 325 words | [attr="class","edreynolds"]“Oh god.” Ed pulled a face. “Ivy that’s so rank. Please tell me you’re taking the piss right now.”
He laughed, simultaneously grossed out and highly amused by the hypothetical situation at hand. There was no way Ed could be persuaded into sitting in a box for 24 hours with a bunch of nappies for company. He severely hoped Ivy was joking – even if she seemed unnervingly enthusiastic about the whole idea. Count him out for that video appearance! He could smell it now…
Ivy considered him to be a man of many talents; both mermaid rescuing and drink carrying. He’d be the world’s most specialist waiter if he kept this up. Probably not a career he was going to pursue, however. “Hey, you’re not clumsy – you can do loads of cool balancing tricks,” he pointed out. “Honestly don’t worry about it. Neither of us were looking where we were going which was always going to be a recipe for disaster.”
He shook his head at her next joke. “You want me to dump you in the lake next time, fish-out-of-water?” His arms ached a little just thinking about carrying her all the way out here, but he could probably use his power to fly here pretty quickly if necessary.
The way she asked him about seeing him at lunch the next day threw him a little. It felt like the moment in movies where the leading boy would wink and agree, ‘It’s a date.’ Except, for Ed, it wasn’t. He’d certainly enjoyed his time hanging out with Ivy and he wouldn’t complain about hanging out with her at lunchtime again, but he wasn’t quite sure what to make of her yet – especially not in that way. Still, it couldn’t hurt to be friendly.
“Sure! I’ll be around. I live here, you know,” he added with a teasing grin. After all, it was pretty much impossible that they wouldn’t cross paths again at some point.

"I would not piss in my pants silly" Ivy added "That would be so gross!" The mail a person was very interesting and got alot of likes, would she really do something like that?? Maybe. Right now it was just fun thinking about it and grossing out Ed of course. A slight smile came across her heart shaped face at that thought. "I can do alot of balancing when I'm on my hands, seems like I can't when I'm flopping on the ground with a huge tail coming out of my torso, you know that thing isn't very flexible because its mostly muscle. Great for swimming, not so for contortion work." Ivy told Ed still walking the lawn back to the dorms. "Are you offering to throw me in? Sure!" Ivy teased about him throwing her into the lake 'fish out of water' she had told him. She was rather light without her mermaid tail, and with his power he could get her over the water with no problem. "You know that would make a good video" Ivy told Ed. Reaching the dorm buildings Ed told her that sure, he would be around, he lived here. Ivy laughed "Yeah, I know where you live! watch out!" she teased as she waved good bye to him and went into the building to her room, where she would finally meet her new room mate, Keke. | @ivyannnelson | 255 words | [attr="class","edreynolds"]Ed laughed. “Oi, you were the one talking about using a nappy, not me!”
He wondered if his comment about ‘taking the piss’ had become lost in translation, based on Ivy’s response. He still hadn’t been here long enough to adapt the way he spoke so it was entirely possible that she’d misunderstood him. Either that, or she’d been kidding the whole time and wasn’t actually going to contain herself in a cardboard box for 24 hours. She definitely seemed amused by his disgust, so maybe that was indeed the case. He could only hope.
Her alternative video idea seemed much more hygienic (depending on the state of the lake, he supposed, but it looked clean enough) so he encouraged that one a lot more.
“Yeah, I would definitely do that. So long as you’re okay with revealing your powers in a video, I guess. It would be a funny way to do it,” he added, beaming widely. Trying to actually do any contortionist stuff? Way out of his capabilities. But dumping somebody into a lake? That he could do.
They’d finally reached the boarding house which meant that Ed finally had to go to his next lesson. The temptation to just head back to his room and ignore the world for a bit was strong, but he managed to resist and waved Ivy off at the door.
“I hope you get to meet your room mate soon, I’m sure she’ll be great,” he assured her with a confident smile. “Anyway, yeah, see you later!”
